We are seeking a Skilled Production Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a production environment and the use of machinery and hand held tools.

The site is end to end manufacturer of a soft concrete based material which is exported all over the world.

Hours of work will be a 2 week rotating shift pattern.

Week 1 - Monday to Thursday 6am-4.30pm (half hour unpaid break)

Week 2 - Monday to Wednesday 6pm-6am (half hour unpaid break)

Pay Rates - Day shift £12.40, Afternoon Shift £13.02, Night shift £14.88

Project Engineer - The role
* Using the companies manufacturing centres based in Europe for supply of the main equipment and sourcing ancillary equipment locally, you are required to supervise and co-ordinate project planning, design, procurement, build, subcontractors, installation works, despatch to site and commissioning.
* Projects typically range in value between £30k - £2m and may involve equipment supply only, supply and installation, special skid-built equipment and turnkey projects. In most cases, the company's own Service Division will be utilised to carry out the commissioning of each project.

Reporting to the Contracts / Process Engineering Divisional Manager your key responsibilities are as follows:-

Project Engineer - Key responsibilities
* Take overall responsibility for the supervision and administration of the day-to-day activities and coordination of multiple contracts from point of order to final commissioning and handover
* Supervise and co-ordinate planning, design, procurement, build, subcontractors, installation works, despatch to site and commissioning.
* Ensure accurate data is assembled and recorded to enable the procurement and manufacture of equipment to fulfil contractual requirements.
* Control and manage the contractual and commercial requirements of the project.
* Maintain clear liaison between customers, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure contract requirements are met with regards to quality, time and budget.
* Ensure contract financial requirements are adhered to within the time scales specified.

Project Engineer - Experience
Experience is sought within the plant and process engineering field.
Ideal experience would be from within the mechanical contracting services or process engineering with specific reference to steam or high temperature process heating applications.
Additionally:
* Proficiency with MS Office suite of applications.
* NetSuite and Salesforce experience. (Ideal but not essential)
* A track record in working on technology orientated, multi-disciplinary projects.
* Excellent organisational and multi-tasking ability.

Project Engineer - Qualifications
HNC/Degree or equivalent in mechanical or chemical engineering or a process engineering discipline with experience in a compatible industry or a manufacturer of related equipment.

Project Engineer - Communications Skills
The ability to work within a team environment and to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels within the Company structure and with our customers and suppliers.

The role
As a Mechanical and Welder Supervisor you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll lead a team of Industrial Trades responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, testing and commissioning activities on Fleet Assets. Ensuring completion of all planned project activities to ensure the department meets the objectives of the business to time, cost, safety, and quality standards.

Day-to-day, you'll lead and manage a multi skilled trades team of Welders, Mechanical fitters, and Coppersmiths for the delivery of Fleet Engineering work packages. Using technical capability to collaborate with project stakeholders to plan and schedule packages of work. You will also:

• Work with the Nuclear Repair Enablement and Fleet Programme Teams to define and detail the work required to deliver each activity. Defining each manageable task and schedule of activities to remove conflicts.
• Ensure all safety, quality and technical documentation is reviewed and available at the commencement of all tasking.
• Engagement and management of subcontractors to complete areas of the work package in accordance with site processes.
• Implementation and promotion of the Company's Safety, Quality and Environmental policies during projects, ensuring that assessments of risks are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices.
• Work with the Delivery Manager Ashore and departmental Training Staff to manage development and performance of the Delivery Team.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at HM Naval Base Clyde (Faslane) with occasional travel to our Coulport site.

Essential experience of the Mechanical and Welder Supervisor

• Previous experience working within Nuclear Engineering with Engineering Supervisory experience
• Awareness and application of Safe Systems of Work
• Safety, Health, Environment, Quality awareness
• Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders simultaneously in a dynamic engineering environment
• Must be able to work safely and perform tasks at varying heights

Qualifications for the Mechanical and Welder Supervisor

• HNC in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent trade experience and knowledge
• ILM Level 3 is desirable but not essential
