Team: Adult Social Care - Reviewing Team
Bury Council is excited to announce new opportunities within our Adult Social Care Reviewing Team. We are expanding our services by introducing therapy support to enhance the care review process for our residents. - Grade 8 Technical Instructor - 22.2 hours per week (flexible across 3 weekdays), 2-year contract.
While these positions are initially set for 2 years, there will be a review towards the end of this period to evaluate the project's long-term sustainability, with the potential to make these roles permanent.

About the Role: Technical InstructorAs a technical instructor within the Adult Social Care Reviewing Team, you’ll play a critical role in transforming lives by helping individuals achieve and maintain independence. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Comprehensive Assessments: Evaluate individuals' needs and strengths to support their independence.
- Collaborating with Multi-disciplinary Teams: Work closely with professionals across various sectors to ensure holistic care.
- Promoting Independence: Utilize a strengths-based approach to empower individuals and reduce reliance on care services.
- Reviewing and Planning: Regularly review care plans to ensure they meet the evolving needs of residents, with a focus on promoting long-term well-being and independence.
- Joint Working: Working closely with the occupational therapist and reviewing officers/social workers as part of providing assessments to customers and working with customers in ways to increase their independence

Requirements:To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Relevant Experience: You must be experienced in working with individuals in a manner which promotes their independence.
- Experience in Adult Social Care: A background in community care or a related setting is essential.
- Knowledge of Relevant Legislation: Understanding of legal frameworks relevant to adult social care, particularly the Care Act 2014.
- Eligibility to Work in the UK:
- A full UK driving license is required.
