About the role
We are looking for a talented Utilities Coordinator to join our Rail team and work on the successful delivery of the rail works associated with the Sizewell C project.
**Office based (London), until Sizewell Project offices are operational in Suffolk**
What you'll be doing
- Manage utility avoidance and detection surveys processes, maintain database and records of necessary information
- Support the Project Team with technical guidance, site safety and monitor the project's performance in those areas, to maximise efficiency and project delivery
- Coordinate with all parties involved in utility detection and avoidance processes, to the extent required to assure safe and quality delivery, in line with Balfour Beatty Values
- Responsible for compiling, issuing and closing, including quality checks and reviews of Permits in digital and traditional, paper version formats, with production of auditable evidence.
- Lead to raise awareness within Project Team of utility avoidance process, techniques, safe delivery methods and industry best practices.
- Produce and maintain matrix of Team’s utilities / services avoidance competence and training requirements.
Who we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Utilities Coordinator in a site-based construction role on major construction Project, in areas such as:
- Highways and Railways infrastructure
- Utility diversions
- Bored concrete piling
- Reinforced concrete
- Qualifications, or demonstrable equivalent of:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) – Supervisor
- LA, S1 Certificates (minimum)
- CAT4+ with data logging and signal generator familiarisation training qualification
** Role requires DBS check and security clearance, in line with nuclear industry standards **
