As a Senior Planning Officer, your role revolves around offering expert guidance in the realm of Development Management. This means you'll be the go-to person for providing appropriate pre-application advice and ensuring the effective and efficient handling of major planning applications, as well as various other types of planning requests and permissions. Your day to day will be varied and busy, you’ll be responsible for actively contributing to the efficient operation of the Planning Service and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, including Councillors.

Key Responsibilities:

Giving advice to Members, complainants, the public and other staff in the department on particular or general enforcement issues. Liaison with other departments and other organisations in pursuance of the aims and objectives of the local planning authority with respect to planning enforcement.
Preparing publicity material on enforcement procedures and performance, and on cases, which end up in Court in association with the Council’s Communications Manager.
Regularly review policies and procedures in conjunction with the Planning Development Manager.



Qualifications:

GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent skill level in English and Maths.



Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Recent experience of dealing first hand with members of the public/customers, handling complaints and solving problems.
Experience of working in a planning department or public service field particularly a local authority.
Experience of collating evidence to prepare cases.
Experience of keeping written, electronic and photographic records.
Experience in an investigative role.
Experience of writing letters, drafting reports.

Kenect Recruitment is looking for a HGV 2 Refuse Driver to join our team in the Kettering, Northamptonshire area.

Previous experience on residential dustcart driving is required

The successful candidates must be able to work responsibly, safely and in a timely manner. Duties will include working as part of a team driving the heavy goods vehicle and loading refuse therefore flexibility is crucial. Full training and induction will be given.
Duties:

• Driving a Class 2 residential refuse vehicle
• You will also be required to assist with the loading
• Working with a crew of refuse loaders
• Customer Service - Public Facing

Requirements:

• Class 2 driving experience is essential
• Must hold a valid CPC certificate
• Must have a digital tachograph card

Previous experience of the waste industry and of waste collection for residential areas is required.

• Must be able to drive manual transmission trucks
• No more than 3 points on your driving record for minor violations

Job Type: Temporary contract

Contract length: 6 months

Salary: £15.00 per hour
