Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) the post holder will work as an integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), working to support patients according to their care needs, some of whom may present with complex and challenging enhanced care needs. The post holder will be required to use their initiative when working on the wards to implement person centred plans of care and are expected to report any clinical progress or change to the Nurse in Charge. The post holder will carry out assigned tasks involving direct/indirect service user care and support service users under the supervision of a RN.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a community rehabilitation band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a supportive and enthusiastic community therapy service, working across community delivering rehabilitation in patients own homes or current place of residence, following discharge from an acute bed, or supporting long term condition management.

You will be working with patients with a large variety of conditions and disabilities. You will be responsible for assessment, intervention, and discharge of a caseload of patients, act as the direct supervisor to staff and provide support and expertise to the other members of the team.

We offer a fabulous training programme within a supportive team.

The post-holder will be required to rotate across all therapy teams in the Community and Intermediate Care division to support clinical and workforce development.

The service operates across 6 days.

The post holder is an autonomous practitioner, responsible for provision of specialised assessment and treatment of patients referred to the service. You will see patients in various settings, working as part of an MDT and liaising with external stakeholders. This post would join a consultant team with diverse interests and expertise sharing in both inpatient and outpatient care including a choice of speciality clinics (including Tuberculosis, ambulatory ID, HIV, OPAT, viral hepatitis). Hays have been approached by a High School in the Blackburn area that we have worked with for a number of years, who are seeking to appoint Teaching Assistants of a full-time basis. This school has an OFSTED rating of 'Good' and an excellent reputation within the local community for the level of support and education they provide to their pupils. The school has an extremely welcoming approach and now, due to planned expansion of the school, they are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to come in and support.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils, whether it be in a group or 1:1 setting, as well as supporting the class teacher across, this could be across KS3, KS4 or KS5. By being a teaching assistant, you should possess good behaviour management skills and hit the ground running by building up those relationships with pupils as well as staff. What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children, the school are also willing to consider individuals from other various roles working with young adults, for example, support worker roles. SEN experience would also be desirable in this role, however the school are looking for someone to come in with an open mind and commit to the role.

The company specialises in the engineering of large machined parts & equipment for power generation, oil & gas, paper industries and much more. We are at an exciting point in our development and, due to considerable growth, require more manual machinists to join our busy machining team.

THE ROLE

To ensure safety and quality procedures are adhered to and assist in the improvement of processes.
Timely production of parts to pre-determined deadlines.
Produce work to the highest quality standard to achieve customer satisfaction.
Work within British Standards as per company procedures.
Support internal teams to get to the root cause of specific issues.
To take part in specialist or multi-disciplinary team activities.
To behave in a professional manner at all times when dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

Job Purpose

You will take responsibility for our finance teams and performance monitoring team developing the plans necessary to deliver excellent services to our residents. You will have the opportunity to influence the direction of the services and support our staff to make the continuous improvements needed to enable our services to flourish.

The successful applicant will play a vital role in supporting the development of our social care and public health services, offering inspiring leadership to our teams and influencing the strategic direction of our services linked to regulatory and business plan requirements. We are on an improvement journey and have brought together a range of services including for example commissioning, finance and performance, which with your expertise, will support the Directorate to operate within budgets and evidence compliance with a range of regulated activities.

Main responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to design and deliver integrated services, ensuring efficient budget use.
• Develop and improve financial, performance, and business systems for managing contracts, focusing on outcomes and quality.
• Ensure commissioned services are high-quality, cost-effective, and people-centered with ongoing quality assurance.
• Lead Adult Social Care Finance, Performance, Direct Payments, and Complex Care teams to drive service improvements and align with public health strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Local Authority systems, including risk management, performance monitoring, and workforce planning.
• Manage multiple Council budgets and funding streams effectively.
• Represent the council in key meetings and with health sector partners to ensure collaborative service delivery.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement to achieve positive outcomes for citizens.
• Provide leadership, fostering employee development, wellbeing, and proactive health management.
• Provide timely information to stakeholders to monitor performance and progress towards strategic goals.

Requirements for the role

• Must be able to attend the office 3 days per week (Flexibility on the days)
• Must be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA)
• Must have significant experience within Adult Social care at a Senior Level
• Or similar significant NHS experience
