This Master Transportation Security Officer- Security Training Instructor position is located at Yeager Airport (CRW), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Master Transportation Security Officer (MTSO), you will support the airport training program through performance of a variety of training-related functions. In addition to training program responsibilities, you will also perform pre-board security screening of persons, cargo, carry-on, and checked baggage as directed by the Federal Security Director (FSD), or his/her designee, a minimum of 20% of the time. (1) As the subject matter expert for logistics, develops, implements and evaluates the logistic goals and priorities for the organization. Advises the command in the area of logistics operations. Oversees and reviews unit level feeder reports. Analyzes and/or prepares the logistics and equipment readiness areas of the organizational readiness report. Reviews, analyzes, and provides recommendations relative to proposed Modified Table of Organization and Equipment/Table of Distribution and Allowances (MTOE/TDA) and/or force structure changes to determine the impact on equipment authorizations. Remains current on and ensures the implementation of policy statements, regulations and directives.
