DUTY 1:
Performs Career Broadening assignments; Provides enterprise and subordinate organizations with authoritative guidance on aspects concerning physical security programs for the protection of classified national security information, both Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral information.
Manages the physical security requirements for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIFs). Reviews pre-coordination requirements and recommends approval/disapproval prior to the construction of new SCIFs to include concepts of approval, fixed facility checklists, and formal accreditation. Recommends approval/disapproval prior to the accreditation of Temporary Secure Working Area (TSWA) requests on behalf of the enterprise IAW
DoD and AF regulations. Develops enterprise security policy and risk management assessments within general guidelines provided by the National Security Agency (NSA), DoD, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and Headquarters United States Air Force (USAF). In situations where guidelines are not available or modifications are required due to unique intelligence operations, incumbent must draw upon a broad base of experience in physical security to independently establish guidelines for the enterprise.

DUTY 2:
Administers the Information Security program. Serves as a security professional for the development, testing, fielding, and protection of sensitive technologies. Researches, interprets, analyzes and applies security guidelines from various sources for local application. Develops and implements security plans and procedures such as standard operating procedures, system security, program test, treaty verification preparation, deployment, and operations security (OPSEC) plans for personnel and facilities that support advanced or special programs and sensitive compartmented information material. Conducts and documents regular self-inspections of special access program facilities and operations. Assesses the security posture and sets goals and courses of action to correct deficiencies. Maintains Top Secret Control Accounts, and strict accountability of other accountable material. Leads or performs security investigations for incidents involving the actual or possible loss, compromise, or inadvertent disclosure of classified information. Performs technical reviews of incident reports and recommends appropriate corrective actions to the commander and higher headquarters. Assists in developing security classification guides for various technologies.

DUTY 3:
Administers the Industrial Security Program. Implements and administers the Industrial Security Program through the use of DoD, USAF and MAJCOM directives and procedures. Manages contractor-related security actions for the protection of special access program information and other sensitive information originated or controlled by the DoD and other agencies. Reviews solicitation and contract documents to ensure they include the appropriate security clauses and verbiage. Assists with input of security requirements within Statement of Work, Performance Work Statements or Statement of Objectives. May conduct industrial security inspections of integrated contractor work areas for adherence to classified contractual efforts in accordance with the Visitor Group Security Agreement and the National Industrial Security Program Manual. Reviews DD Form 254, DoD Contract Security Classification Specifications for technical accuracy and sufficiency of classification guidance prior to approval. Reviews personnel security clearance investigations for derogatory information or potentially disqualifying information. Determines the seriousness of the derogatory or disqualifying information and recommends approval / disapproval for program access as appropriate.

DUTY 4:
Administers the Personnel Security Program. Establishes local procedures for processing requests for classified information access for military, civilian, and contractor personnel. Initiates and reviews requests for personnel security investigations consistent with directives. Responsible for the classification management program and supports special access program manager in developing classification guidance and making personnel security decisions. Ensures requests for program access are properly screened and verified, and that all necessary forms and documentation have been completed before processing for access. Analyze each request to determine validity and eligibility for access in accordance with policies. Prepares and transmits various reports and requests such as Transfer-of-Access and travel reports. Reviews personnel security decisions of lower-ranking personnel for accuracy. Investigates personnel security suitability issues and prepares and transmits adverse information reports to higher headquarters. Prepares and utilizes security databases, rosters, and other tools necessary to administer the personnel security program.

Starting at $107,233 Per Year (GS 13)

1. Processes applications and issues identification cards, controlled and restricted area badges, vehicle registration, and temporary passes to eligible personnel.
2. Maintains controlled forms. Maintains control logs for identification cards and contractor access badges for maintenance and destruction of accountable forms in accordance with applicable AF instructions
3. Carries out routine, miscellaneous clerical tasks. Performs clerical support duties to ensure efficient office operations. Reproduces and assembles copies of a variety of correspondence.
4. Provides general customer service. Focuses on responsive and accurate customer service within the Pass & Registration/Visitors Center environment.

Job objectives and responsibilities
-Mitie on Ascension Island are seeking a dynamic, robust Security Operative to be part of a small team providing aviation security services to military and civilian aircraft.

-Responsible to the Security Supervisor for ensuring a full range of protective and air transport security measures are provided in accordance with MAA (Military Aviation Authority) and CAA( Civil Aviation Authority) regulations.

-Providing air transport and general security services, including responding to alarms, carrying out mandatory checks, maintaining security documentation and the issuing of Airside and Ascension Island Identification cards.

-Ensuring the safeguarding of passengers, ground crew and the general public from unlawful interference with arriving and departing aircraft.



Main Duties

-Carry out pre-flight security screening of departing passengers and aircrew.

-Conduct screening of cabin and hold baggage using various x-ray equipment.

-Prevent unlawful entry to aircraft and unauthorised carriage of prohibited items and dangerous air cargo, by the means of manual searching techniques and with the aid of security screening equipment.

-Prevent breaches of aviation security and safety in the SRA (Security Restricted Area)

-To carry out routine security patrols and checks of airfield facilities and assets on a daily basis, including weekends and bank holidays.

-Respond to station recalls alarms and major incidents.

-Work on an on call basis providing fist line contact for emergency duties.

Additional informationMitie will pay a competitive salary, monthly site allowance and bonus. • Participate as a member of the HQAMC Force Protection Assessment Team in the performance of higher headquarters assessments, compliance inspections, force protection training, and staff assistance visits of AMC installations.
• Review security operations, assessments, procedures, and security plans /documentation to assist AMC organizations and activities to properly assess the status of these areas.
• Provide support for the AMC Protection Program, Counter Small Unmanned Aeriel Systems (C-sUAS), OPSEC, AT/FP, and Insider Threat (Int) by collecting, analyzing, and organizing information on security activities.
• Follow established guidelines and in accordance with HQAMC policies, procedures, directives, and regulations, plans, develops, recommends, and implements AMC security operating procedures to AMC organizations.
• Function as assistant to the HQAMC Antiterrorism Officer. In the absence of the Antiterrorism Officer, attends meetings and/or briefings related to Force Protection issues.
• Collect, analyze, and organize information on security activities, progress, and resource utilization, and in the development and implementation of security operational guidance.

- Serves as security program specialist executing and enforcing compliance with operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of an integrated information security program

- Executes and enforces compliance with the organization personnel security program. Interprets AF, DoD, and national regulations and laws for Personnel Security processes as they apply and are implemented within the organization

- Serves as the organization's representative for Industrial Security issues

- Administers the Physical Security Program for the organization

Starting at $96,148 Per Year (GS 12)

• You will advise the Commodore, Commanding Officers, Officers-in-Charge, and Wing Staff to include subordinate activities on all security matters.
• You will provide all aspects of leadership, training, and guidance to personnel assigned to the Security Office.
• You will write and refine local policies and procedures for all matters under CPRW-11 SSO purview in accordance with DoD and Navy directives.
• You will prepare Construction Security Plans to include required accreditation documentation to include photographic records of pertinent areas of security as identified in ICD 705.
• You will be responsible for ensuring security checks are performed on construction personnel in cooperation with Base Security.
• You will ensure all aspects of the SCI Personnel Security Program are executed, to include, but not limited to, nomination interviews.
• You will conduct of SCI security indoctrinations, briefings, and debriefings; execute and maintain SCI Non-Disclosure Statements and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
• You will oversee CPRW-11 SCIF spaces to ensure proper SCI storage is IAW DoD and DoN Instructions.
• You will manage the control, transmittal, transportation, packaging, safeguarding, and destruction of SCI material in accordance with regulations.
• You will oversee and advise investigations of all unauthorized disclosures of SCI information.
