As a Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist specializing in Security Operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of an organization's digital assets. The busy Service Desk is a single site service providing help and support to all staff within Nottingham University Hospitals, receiving on average 800 contacts per day through phone, self-service and email, a mixture of which are service requests and incidents.

To take ownership of receiving and recording incidents and service requests, presented through a variety of mediums (face to face, phone, self-service, email) for a wide range of customers who use Nottingham University Hospital systems.

To provide first line support via analysing and diagnosing as they are reported to the Service Desk, ensuring all relevant information is captured and recorded whilst resolving the majority of incidents at first point of contact using remote support tools where applicable to achieve this.

Day to day duties and expectations

• Call taking across multiple contracts.
• Queue management
• Good time keeping (scheduled adherence)
• Contacts per day; 30 for full time. 15 for Part time.
• Average handling time; 8 Minutes
• 100% contact to incident ratio - the only exceptions are what we call switchboard calls. (we only get a few a week on the desk, so very rare)
• 90% quality scores target
• To deliver outstanding service by understanding users' IT and business needs
• To provide centralised advice and support to customers in line with contractual arrangements.
• Flexible working approach due to working hours.
• Be able to deal with upset users from all levels of the business.
• Provide a single point of contact for contract users.
• Develop and maintain rapport with end users
• Able to differentiate between numerous customer applications.

Facilitate the development implementation of monitoring, planning, performance analysis and where required support the PMOs portfolio of projects by providing business and data information analysis. This will also include benchmarking data. Proactively engages, schedule and facilitate activities, with internal and external stakeholders, to analyse information and gather user requirements, whilst being flexible. Highlighting issues arising with line manager (prior to deadlines). Undertakes data-quality checks and provides confidence on the level of accuracy of the data to senior leaders across the portfolio of programmes. Undertake management responsibility for admin staff within the PMO, continually motivate and develop staff in all areas. Undertake benefit realisation activities for the programmes projects, tracking and monitoring and reporting on post implementation benefits. Providing advice and guidance to partners on the delivery of benefits and utilising framework documentation. Produce and update the necessary benefit reporting and programme documentation for internal and external stakeholders, evidencing demonstratable benefits and value for money, through leading on realisation activities. Be a representative at national and benefits networks meetings. Lead discussions and liaise with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to identify potential benefits and develop the benefits realisation plan to maximise value and build upon the ideas of patients and key stakeholders. Manage and analyse all types of Programme benefits, supporting internal and external stakeholders where required, and track tangible benefits to evidence the return on investment. Ensure the appropriate risks are escalated to the Programme leads with proactive resolutions.
