To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Data Analyst to come and join our team at our Head Office in Ibstock, LE67 6HS
Job Purpose:
Sustainability is a key focus within Ibstock so we are looking for a pro-active, detailed and analytical member of our team to improve our ability to collate, report and analyse all our sustainability data. The key requirements of this role are:
Collect, process and analyse Ibstock’s sustainability data
Monitor, track and report on progress against Ibstock’s sustainability ambitions
To leverage the power of data to extract valuable insights from a wide variety of data sources to drive positive change and sustainable solutions within Ibstock PLC
Key Accountabilities:
Administer and oversee data collection, control and analysis, in accordance with internal and external requirements
Provide clear reporting, analysis and insight of progress against sustainability targets
Support ad hoc internal and external sustainability data information requests
Co-ordinate ongoing requests from customers, investors, analysts and regulators for collecting and providing sustainability data and information for customer surveys, reporting requirements, etc.
Lead the collation of data for external sustainability reporting requirements including the annual report and sustainability report and other regular updates for stakeholders
Carry out regular checks and audits of the accuracy of sustainability data
Support the sustainability, energy and environmental teams in the handling of data required for reporting and audits
Carry out training for staff to ensure understanding of data need and accurate input of data into the established systems is available to all personnel.
Support the Technical Data Administrator and NPD team with the development of product sustainability data
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
Excellent numeracy skills
Methodical and analytical approach to data
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with data collation and interpretation
Team worker with ability to work independently
Passion for business improvement and/ or sustainability
Excellent organisational and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines
Desirable, but not essential
Degree or equivalent
