This Marketing Specialist position is located in Strategic Communications and Public Affairs (SCPA), Marketing and Branding (MB), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Developing and implementing a wide number of integrated marketing plans and strategic branding initiatives, which includes increasing brand awareness, driving increased enrollments in TSA Pre Check, and ensuring brand credibility and integrity, and cultivating stakeholder marketing partnerships.

In this position, you will:

• Execute all aspects of the Agency's annual marketing and sales activities, including brand management, product promotion, advertising, digital marketing, social media, and customer relationship management.
• Implement the planning and execution of a multi-year strategy to increase awareness among the Public and Federal Agencies of the Agency's value proposition, authorities, products, services, and capabilities.
• Evaluate and optimize sales and marketing programs by establishing best practices; build collaborative relationships with individuals, teams, and partners outside of OPD to accomplish the Agency's goals.
• Support Agency-wide planning and implement strategies, tactics, and activities, in coordination with NTIS Offices, to meet or exceed the Agency's annual revenue targets.

Assists in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research. Using standard industry practice and computer software adapts or modifies research techniques for local purposes. Administers surveys, collects data, tabulates responses, and assist the Marketing Director in analyzing results. Keeps the Marketing Director informed of consumer trends and their application to the activities. Makes recommendations to the Marketing Director on program modifications and enhancements. Attends major FSS Squadron events and provides constructive marketing feedback to the activity manager. Assists in conducting advertising/publicity campaigns. • Plans, directs, and initiates the development, administration and implementation of marketing, Public Relations, and sponsorship programs for the MCMO. 
• Ensures special considerations and favored treatment are not provided to sponsors except for the public recognition and advertising entitlements addressed in the agreements. 
• Assists the MCMO Deputy Director and branch managers by producing marketing and sponsorship strategies in the development for various programs for the MCM and its event series. 
• Manages and supervises the daily work performance of the Marketing and Graphics sections in the MCMO structure including public relations/media and social media component programs, to include website management, Facebook posts and Twitter feeds.

• May be required to travel to attend MCMO races, meetings, and expos to promote races and events by attending other race expos to set up booths with MCMO race materials to promote MCMO race series by handing out MCMO materials, speaking to runners about MCMO races and events, and soliciting vendors to participate in races. 
• Prepares for MCMO races and events & observes race practices within the running industry to learn how they prepare, plan and execute races.
• May be required to stand for extended periods of times at expos handing out materials and speaking with runners and vendors about MCMO races. 

• Performs marketing functional services under the general supervision of the Marketing Manager.

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing all Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) customers with world class customer service with an additional emphasis on courtesy. Sales associates are the primary service providers and will assist customers in every aspect of the retail business in a friendly, professional, and proactive manner that supports continued customer loyalty. Sales associates assist their customers in challenging scenarios by using an ¿I can do that¿ mindset, to make all attempts for a positive customer experience and outcomes, before asking for support from the next level mentor or supervisor. Sales associates are brand and customer program ambassadors for all Marine Corps and MCX programs, including but not limited to, Military Star, Super Star Student, customer satisfaction surveys and Keep it New. 

This position can be scheduled throughout the facility, based on the needs of the business including but not limited to, cashier or self-checkout attendant, customer service, salesfloor / department support, stockroom / backroom, and military clothing.  In addition to working indoors, associates may be required to work outdoors or inside coolers and/or chillers. Limited time durations and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided when working inside coolers and/or chillers. Sales associates who are regularly scheduled in areas are expected to learn basic product knowledge to support customer satisfaction and service.
