We're looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Own Brand Team here at Co-op. In this role you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end quality process for Co-op Brand Products within your category. You'll work alongside suppliers and drive quality performance, as well as collaborating with our internal teams to set the position and manage the ongoing quality of own brand products. This is a permanent Band 8a position jointly based at the NHS North West Genomics Laboratory Hub (NW GLH), St Mary's Hospital, Manchester and the Oncology Cytogenetics Laboratory, The Christie Hospital NHS Trust, Manchester.

You will be required to show that you are dynamic and highly motivated with a proven, high level of scientific skill and expertise with a high level of experience in quality management. You will be responsible for managing quality at the Christie Oncology Cytogenetics laboratory site as well as deputising for and supporting the Quality Manager. You will also be supporting the management of a team of registered Clinical Scientists to deliver and develop the diagnostic workload and to develop the workforce. State Registration as a Clinical Scientist in the modality of Genetics is Mandatory. What you'll do

In this key role, you’ll be making sure that only well designed and built work packages get through quality testing. You’ll aim to get it right first time for our customers through innovative service and solutions, using automation as an accelerator and working closely with stakeholders in an Agile and collaborative environment. We’ll also look to you to produce comprehensive and robust quality strategies and detailed quality test plans, enabling the continual flow of work packages across the domain, platform value stream or programme.

Additionally, you’ll be:

• Taking accountability for all aspects of quality across both run and change and business as usual activity within the assigned platform or domain
• Overseeing the output quality from all testing phases owned and making sure it meets the requirements of each quality test strategy
• Making sure defects are detected and prioritised, based on impact, and resolved at the earliest possible moment and before the last responsible moment
• Undertaking end-to-end test management including planning, risk, issue, dependency management, lessons learnt and governance
• Reviewing all key collateral relating to delivery and making sure it is of sufficient quality and with no gaps or duplication

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with strong knowledge and understanding of quality standards, quality best practices, and our risk and controls framework. You’ll also need high levels of knowledge and demonstrable application of modern testing and quality practices and techniques used with Agile methodologies.

Additionally, we’ll be looking for:

• Practical experience of quality strategy and planning, testing design and execution
• Experience in functional and non-functional testing such as system, system integration, user, load, volume, stress, security, accessibility, compatibility, penetration and back-out
• The ability to relate everyday work to the strategic vision of the feature, platform, domain and enterprise teams, with a strong focus on business outcomes
• The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and management
• Good collaboration and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in information security domain
• Familiarity with No Code or low code testing, Test Driven Development, Behaviour Driven Development and DevSecOps

Customer IT Assurance Manager
Hybrid
Up to £80,000 per annum
We're looking for an experienced Customer IT Assurance Manager for our globally recognised Client, a leading specialist in insurance with offices located throughout the UK.
As the Customer IT Assurance Manager you will assist in the operation of Technology External Assurance function's focus on Customer Information Security Assurance by the execution and oversight of activities including bids & tenders, contract reviews, due diligence, audits, findings and reporting to manage and deliver the expectations aligned to defined SLAs and deadlines.
Core Responsibilities:
* Take an active part in the operation of the function by overseeing the activities of other members of the team and deputising for the Senior Manager, 3rd Party IT Risk as required.
* Support Commercial and Tender teams with the information security component of new business opportunities including questionnaires, presentations, and customer calls.
* Execute and oversee the end-to-end delivery of the information security components of customers audits, including planning, scoping, preparation, documentation, delivery and follow-up, in direct partnership with customers and internal Commercial teams.
* Reviewing and negotiating customer contractual IT agreements and clauses to ensure that customers' expectations can be fully met and aligned.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
* Senior professional experience with management responsibilities in either a Big 8 external practice, Internal Audit, or regulated Assurance function.
* Certified in relevant audit, risk and security certifications preferably with one of the following: IIA, CISA, CISM, or CISSP
* Experience of working in a UK regulated organisation, especially FCA/PRA or UK GDPR
* The role requires strong Information Security/Assurance, Audit, Compliance and Risk knowledge, experience of IT Risk and assurance frameworks, and control assurance assessments (e.g. ISO 27001, PCI DSS, CIS 20, NIST, ISACA IT Risk).
