Corporate Communications will be in charge of sharing and safeguarding information to internal and external audiences / stakeholders and engage them in a bid to manage brand perception and organization’s goals. Key Responsibilities

Corporate Branding

• Build, maintain & safeguard KSL’s corporate reputation by creating favourable messaging around KidSTART, and lead with good reputation, internally and externally.
• Manage Crisis Communications and Communication protocols within internal and external stakeholders.
• Be the custodian of KSL’s corporate identifiers (eg: Logo, tagline), branding tools and collaterals.
• Dissemination & enforcement of branding guidelines with KSAs and partners.

External & Internal stakeholder engagement

• Maintain good relations and oversee communications between government stakeholders and internal teams (eg: HR & IT, MSF/ComLink & ECDA)
• Support all external engagements that KSL is engaged or involved in (eg: Conferences & Panel discussions, ECC, SSDB).

External & Internal communications

• Lead, coordinate and translate formal / corporate related communication reporting & articles. (eg: Annual reports, Journal articles, Researches)

Competencies

• Degree holder with at least 5 years of relevant working experience in the social service or non-profit sector or related sector

• Experience with managing staff, as s/he will be managing a team of communications and annual giving specialists.
• Proven track record in creating clear, persuasive content across various platforms (especially top-quality gift opportunity offerings), with a deep understanding of diverse audiences and how to communicate effectively with them.
• Experience in donor relations and stewardship is a bonus to work cross-functionally with the Head, Stewardship and Advancement Services. Able to understand how to create synergies between these functions to provide an outstanding experience to SMU donors and beneficiaries.
• Proficient in Mandarin, both written and verbal communications to facilitate content development for different segments of the donor network.
• Operates with a high level of discretion and ethics.

Responsibilities:

External Relations

• Assists management in establishing and managing the network of contacts with business chambers and foreign counterparts.
• Engages and liaises with stakeholders to nurture relationships, facilitate meetings and travel arrangements.
• Proactively evaluates and recommends incoming delegation requests, engaging stakeholders to determine suitability of engagement.
• Provides secretariat support on administrative notes, briefing documents, minutes of meetings and monthly reports.

Corporate Communications

• Develops and executes appropriate communication and engagement strategies and plans for SCCCI.
• Operationalises SCCCI’s corporate communications to deliver SCCCI’s key messages through both mainstream and digital channels.
• Develops media materials and collaterals, including but not limited to corporate videos, event promotional materials, media kits, etc.
• Tracks, analyses and reports the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) associated with media engagement and exposure.

Requirements:

• Recognised degree in Chinese Studies, Media and Communications, International Relations, Business, or related discipline.
• Preferably possess 2 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Good command of the Chinese language with strong writing, speaking and presentation skills.
• Competent in English, both speaking and writing.
• Must be self-motivated, a team player, demonstrate initiative and an attention to detail.
• Prior experience in managing events and meetings with international participants would be an advantage.
