About the Role

We are looking for a security guard to join our team to contribute towards the overall security of the Bowland view site,
controlling site access, directing visitors and deliveries to the correct locations.



Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing

* Maintaining the safety, security and operational standards of the external areas of our depot.
* Ensuring site security is maintained by controlling access to pass holders, deliveries and valid visitors.
* Monitoring CCTV, the intruder alarm, fire alarms and the building management system.
* Working alongside a team of security guards based over different areas of the site, ensuring accurate and up to date
communication of any issues.
* Reporting incidents in compliance with security procedures.
* Completing incident logs and reports accurately and thoroughly.
* Maintaining accurate records of deliveries.

You and your role

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for embedding security into all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in a large-scale, complex environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining the security of nearly 1 billion lines of code by implementing and maintaining modern software delivery practices, including automation and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring the development and deployment of secure, resilient software solutions.

Working collaboratively with development, operations, and security teams, you will design and implement security policies and controls that prevent vulnerabilities, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

You will contribute to the enhancement of security processes and tooling that support the DevOps model, ensuring security is integrated at every step of the development cycle.

What you’ll do:

• Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security protocols
• Monitoring of CCTV, Access Control, and other protective systems 
• Act as a first-line response to activations & incidents or fault reporting 
• Log and transfer calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors, and staff
• To carry out regular patrols throughout the shift

What you bring:

• Ability to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authorities 
• A full current driving license
• Excellent communication and awareness skills
• Experience in working in a similar role
• Knowledge of security techniques and site and local emergency procedures
• An SIA licence is desirable but not essential

Cyber Security Assurance Specialist Preston(Hybrid working) £55-£62k+10% Bonus

My client are Europe's largest Aerospace & Defence organisation.

They are currently looking for an experienced Cyber Security proffesional to join their team based out of their Preston office.

What you will be doing:

* Deliver assurance services to the business, SS EIT, IM&T Sector and Group Functions, covering enterprise systems / services and cloud

* Identification of risk and appropriate mitigations, development & analysis of secure solutions (covering technical / physical / procedural / personnel controls) and assessment of compliance with internal and external standards and regulations

* Deliver documentation to demonstrate compliance to internal and external stakeholders

* Assessment and provision of control effectiveness in managing Cyber security risk

* Provide security architecture / technical input into the development of secure solutions

* Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team

* Support development of strategy and continual service improvement for the Cyber assurance function

* Act as a subject matter expert regarding Cyber assurance activities for the wider organisation

Essential Skills:

* Knowledge of information security standards, such as HMG, NCSC Guidance, ISO 27001/18, NIST 800 etc. HMG is fundamental

* Capable of a very high standard of written communication including experience of writing complex reports and giving formal presentations to senior business peers

* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) preferably in a related discipline (ICT/Computing, Information assurance, risk management, vulnerability/threat assessment) or equivalent, related work experience

* In-depth knowledge of industry standard security policy, standards and good practice guidance and their application to a variety of IT solutions processing protectively marked information
