School Support Assistant - Health & Food Technology

Salary: £24,909 -£25,116 (pro rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 16 per week, 39 weeks sessional

We are looking to appoint an organised and pro active individual with good communication skills to join our very busy Health & Wellbeing faculty. The role is to provide support to 3 teachers.
A good level of IT skills is essential as we utilise email, online systems for ordering and digital recipes.
The main duties of the role include; online food ordering, preparing for practical cookery lessons, maintaining food stocks, admin tasks , preparing fabric and patterns for Fashion courses, maintaining the preparation room and classrooms.
A good knowledge of kitchen hygiene safety is desirable is however we would support the successful candidate to achieve a food hygiene qualification.
The hours of work are Monday- Thursday 12:00-16:00

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
