Job Responsibilities:

• Report to the Corporate Quality and Safety Department through the Head Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager.
• Monitor and support the company's EHS program and policies, ensuring effective execution of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems and certification.

Job Requirements:

Major duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Tracking and reporting on Veterans who have attempted suicide or are at high risk for suicide
• Responding to referrals from the Veterans Crisis Line (VCL) and self-referrals from other sources
• Ensuring that all VA staff members have received discipline-appropriate suicide prevention training (VA S.A.V.E. training or equivalent)
• Collaborating with community organizations and partners to increase awareness of suicide prevention best practices and providing training to individuals who have contact with Veterans
• Providing subject matter consultation to providers on available resources for suicidal individuals, as well as expertise and direction in the areas of system design to prevent deaths by suicide.
• Working with providers to ensure that monitoring and treatment is intensified for high-risk patients while making sure that those who are at elevated risk receive education and support about approaches to reduce risks
• Reporting to OMHSP on Veterans who attempted or died by suicide and sending OMHSP requested data, which is used to determine characteristics and risks associated with these groups of Veterans
• Ensure NWI follows prescribed practice related to the activation, management and deactivation of High Risk for Suicide Patient Record Flags (HRF-PRF).
• Implement facility suicide prevention strategies in accordance with VHA policies and clinical practice guidelines
• Use available online tools, training materials, and resources to enhance the care provided to Veterans and raise awareness among community stakeholders

• The incumbent uses judgement in meeting patient needs by selecting and adapting various therapies in accordance with the guidelines. Significant deviations from the guidelines are referred to the supervisor. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining case records in a manner consistent with medical center, JCAHO, and other applicable standards.

a. The Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer shall be registered with the
Ministry of Manpower and be in-charge of all matters relating to safety
aspects of construction activities to ensure that all work activities are carried out

b. The Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer is responsible for conducting daily site safety inspection, identifying potential hazards involved in construction activities, so as to rectify any unsafe practices with solutions. He shall work together with QPS and site supervision team RE &RTO and conduct safety briefings, witness tool box meetings before commencement of the daily work to ensure compliance with the WSH Act and Regulations, etc.

c.The Workplace Safety & Health, (WSH) Officer shall review all the risk assessments submitted by Contractor to ensure all safety measures are in place at site, check the implementation of the safety and emergency plans, incident reporting systems. He shall ensure the Contractor submits proper documentation for the safety meeting minutes, records and reports.

d. The Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer shall be engaged for the duration of the project and be based full-time on site
