Job Description

Joining the Sam Prince Hospitality Group means you are joining a fun, fast-paced environment working closely with the Restaurant Managers and Chefs to achieve required outcomes. You will report to the Finance Manager, and support the Sydney and Melbourne restaurants with the following day-to-day tasks…
• Manage and maintain daily cashflows – including cashflow forecasts and communications with stakeholders on capital expenditure.
• Analyse weekly sales and provide insight on trends.
• Implement and manage cash control procedures with venue managers.
• Preparation and maintenance of stock control procedures including variance analysis.
• Work alongside the Finance Manager and play a critical role in the month-end closure procedures, preparing & posting journals, and
Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Preparation and lodgement of monthly compliance including consumer taxes, payroll withholding taxes and state payroll taxes.
• Prepare P&L variance analysis for presentation in monthly board meetings.
• Maintain rapport with suppliers including Negotiation and oversight of credit terms for new suppliers.
• Preparation of reconciliations for annual compliance including state payroll taxes, corporate income taxes and insurance policy submissions.
• Assistance with formulation of annual budgets, including preparing assumptions and models.
• Work on ad-hoc projects alongside the wider finance team, including ideations for process improvements, new initiatives & business cases impacting the finance team.
If you have the following skills and experience, then we’d love to meet you!
• Enthusiasm, drive and fantastic written and verbal communication skills
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CA/CPA qualification or a desire to commence
• Strong attention to detail and working knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts and standards
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong Excel skills
• A keen interest in financial systems with exposure to Pronto Xi, and Oracle R&A being advantageous
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail in a busy, changing work environment
