As a Care Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring that residents receive high-quality, person-centred care. As a social care assessor you will be part of a learning disability service. The team is made up of social workers and social care assessors. This role is for social care assessors. We care about people and follow a strength based and person centred model of to ensure we are working towards the goals of the people we are involved with. You will complete care act assessments, support plans and reviews; you will have contact with various stakeholder's both within the council and our external partners. All of our work is recorded on our integrated computer system; there will be times people are taking duty calls, attending various meetings and home visits.

Didsbury High School is a new secondary free school for 11-18 students in South Manchester. The school is run by the Laurus Trust and replicates the outstanding education already provided by the Trust’s founder school, Cheadle Hulme High School (CHHS), based in Stockport. Didsbury High School is the most oversubscribed first preference school in Manchester, we are a non-selective, non-denominational school, which opened in September 2019. What You Will Do:


Support Management: Assist the Registered Care Manager with the day-to-day management and coordination of the branch to ensure it operates efficiently, profitably, and delivers the highest standard of domiciliary care.
Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and investigate complaints from service users and employees.
Recruitment and Staffing: Maintain and grow the team by actively recruiting new care staff, guiding them through the recruitment process, and producing weekly staffing rotas.
Business Development: Actively seek new business opportunities and support the commercial growth of the branch.
Operational Compliance: Stay informed about up-to-date operational issues and methods. Ensure compliance with health and safety, emergency regulations, and operational policies.
Emergency Duties: Undertake out-of-office duties as necessary, including providing emergency hands-on care, undertaking on-call duties, attending social events when required, and offering emergency telephone assistance to care staff.
Liaison and Coordination: Effectively liaise with other departments, employees, key stakeholders such as commissioners and customers, and the public at large.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as requested.




What We Are Looking For:


Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the domiciliary care sector is essential.
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care required. Level 5 in Health and Social Care is desirable or working towards.
Proven ability to effectively lead, delegate, and mentor staff.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, empathetic nature.
High level of organisational skills with the ability to produce staffing rotas and manage multiple responsibilities.
Ability to work flexibly, including extended hours where necessary, and provide hands-on care during staff shortages.
A friendly, supportive demeanour with a genuine passion for assisting those in need.
Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and support your colleagues.
A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required.
Hold or willing to obtain work related car insurance.
Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS clearance.

This company is seeking a Personal Advisor to join their Cared For Children - Step Ahead Service in Rochdale. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice, support and guidance to young people preparing to leave care. The Personal Advisor will play a key role in supporting young people with their transition to adulthood, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with them to ensure they have positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Meet the responsibilities of the Local Authority for young people 16 years and over who have entitlement under the Children Leaving Care Act (2000)
• Deliver high quality support for young people, managing existing and future risks through Pathway Plan assessments
• Create plans which ensure the individual needs and strengths of young people are appropriately considered
• Assist young people to engage with support services provided by both statutory and voluntary agencies
• Provide advice and expertise to promote the service and represent the rights and needs of young people

Requirements

• Experience working with care experienced young people
• Knowledge of the Children Leaving Care Act (2000)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work proactively with appropriate partner agencies to assess the individual's needs
