Main Responsibilities

As part of our Regional L&NR Team you will be responsible for the promotion of mineral and industrial opportunities and securing the necessary planning permissions for the development of strategic land and mineral assets to provide the long and short term business continuity needs of the operating business.

You will assist in the identification, assessment and securing of new land and mineral opportunities which have potential for future development by the business as well as being an important cog in providing expert advice to the operating business ensuring its licence to operate is maintained.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in the role of Minerals Strategic Planning Manager you will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have previous experience of property management with a focus on strategic land processes. You will be able to;

• Establish, and review, planning strategies to ensure that each strategic land asset is effectively promoted to achieve a local plan allocation and/or planning consent acceptable to the business
• Discuss development proposals for sites with local planning authorities and other relevant bodies, through formal or informal pre-application routes
• Engage with stakeholders to development long term relationships and participate in public pre-application events in order to engage with local communities
• Manage and instruct external consultant teams in line with the Company’s compliance procedures and monitor/report budgets accordingly
• If required, submit planning appeals and manage the appeal process
• Engage with and keep landowners and/or agents informed of progress in line with contractual obligations
• Assist the wider Land and Natural Resources team and the Operational business in the identification of new land opportunities and assist in acquiring the site under an option at suitable terms
• Engage with the operational business to provide professional advice on issues relating to the numerous extant planning permissions

Provision of a medicines management service at ward level including responsibilities for the safe storage of medicines and medicine returns. To obtain patient medication histories, using all available sources, including patients own medicines and the Summary Care Record according to departmental processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) whilst obtaining patient consent. This includes a responsibility for entering patients admission medicine history onto the electronic prescribing system (ePMA). To assist the pharmacist in delivering the Keogh standards across medical wards ensuring medicines optimisation for all patients has been undertaken within 24 hours of admission. To undertake initial pharmaceutical assessment of new patients and prioritisation of patients for pharmacist review, according to protocol.
