Qualified 12A/B Traffic Management Operatives - Bodmin

Our clients require Traffic Management Operatives to carry out 12A Installation, maintenance and removal of Static Temporary Traffic Management measures on motorways and high-speed dual carriageways for schemes incorporating contraflow operations and/or temporary road markings.

Due to the nature of the industry each role would require a certain flexibility and must be able to work both days and nights, including some weekends as required.

Successful candidates for any role of TM Operative should have

Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to carry out work to a high standard
Good communication skills
Good timekeeping skills
Willingness and flexibility to undertake some shifts out of normal working hours
Willingness to carry out other tasks upon request
Ability to always maintain Health and Safety standards
A can do and responsible attitude to work.

Applicants must

Hold a 12 A/B Lantra qualification
Have a full UK manual driving license with no more than 6 points
Minimum 1 year driving experience
Be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test when required

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday, days or nights with some weekend and bank holidays when required

Rate of Pay:

Up to £150 per shift to start with increased payments for weekend and bank holiday work

These will be PAYE positions so you will benefit from:

Accrued Holiday Pay from day one
Pension contributions (after a qualifying period)
Weekly Pay
No umbrella payments or fees
Only Tax and National Insurance deductions and this will be shown on your payslip.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships within broad range of internal and external stakeholders. This includes developing an effective communication network within the EPRR team, senior executives, multi agency partners, health and social care partners, voluntary and public sector organisations. Deliver the ICB single point of contact function, triaging external communications and time sensitive regional returns to ensure tight deadlines are met Timely production of papers and other documents for internal and external meetings, of which some will also relate to cross system-wide meetings including the drafting of high quality documents (emails, letters), with varying degree of instruction or support. Transcribing of minutes and notes at formal and informal meetings as required Ability to manage own workload and to be proactive whilst recognising boundaries of authority, knowledge and skills Proactively horizon scan for risks or opportunities where you can make recommendations to develop or improve to processes, procedures or methods of working within the team Plan, organise and balance competing priorities ensuring that you are task and result focussed to ensure deadlines are met and outcomes achieved whilst providing an efficient and effective administrative service.
