DSP Design Verification Engineer

Position Description

Key member of the Tensilica DSP team within Cadence, responsible for design verification of DSP based hardware products as part of families of Tensilica DSPs and hardware accelerators, targeting various application domains such as computer vision, AR/VR, audio/voice, Radar, AI or ADAS/AD.

Be part of an agile team with experts in DSP architecture, design, implementation, and HW/SW verification. Gain understanding of the DSP algorithms and mathematical functions being implemented. Architect and implement verification environments and tests to ensure that the implementation is correct, there are no functional bugs, and the performance criteria were met. Design, implement and maintain large scale regression frameworks that improve quality and project execution time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with architecture/design team to understand the algorithms and mathematical functions.
• Define and develop detailed test plans.
• Develop tests in C/C++ to create a behavioral model of the DSP functions, using fixed point or floating point arithmetic.
• Develop and maintain extensible/large scale regression flows and infrastructure, including tools for aggregating metrics and trending.
• Develop System Verilog/UVM testbenches and checkers.
• Apply formal verification methodology for verification sign off and quality.
• Develop and apply novel techniques for verifying performance of designs.

The Design Controls Process Engineer is accountable for influencing design control process activities for product development and product maintenance through the application of Quality engineering skills for medical devices. This person will support product development teams from product inception through product launch and maintenance and play an active role in the process ownership to ensure products meet quality standards consistent with both Corporate and business unit policies, while meeting all design control and other regulatory requirements.

This individual monitors internal and external regulatory observations and trends for hardware and software product development.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures Design Controls is effectively implemented across the MMS business, particularly for the Infusion Solutions Platform

• Serves as subject matter authority on Design Controls for MMS business, particularly for the Infusion Solutions Platform

These components will be used across multiple products. Senior team members participate in key planning activities, such as feature discovery, system architecture, requirements definition, project scope, and delivery. Overall, this role has direct ownership and plays a key role in ensuring Spectrum is available for our customers in a timely, stable, and scalable way.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with the Spectrum design team to ensure Spectrum's aesthetic is built into our libraries while maintaining an idiomatic iOS API for library consumers.

• Understand and derive data from designs, map data to clear abstractions, and integrate that design data into the Spectrum framework using patterns expected by iOS developers.

• Partner with internal product teams to define, build, support, and validate implementations of Spectrum in Adobe’s iOS products.

• Work with various toolsets and teams to understand design’s requirements and communicate engineering concerns back to design.

• Assist in the discovery and delivery of fixes needed for Spectrum implementation gaps

What you need to succeed

Must-Haves

• Specialist understanding of Swift, Objective-C and iOS Frameworks as applied to app or framework development for iOS (4+ years)

• Experience with common build and deploy strategies for packaging, distributing, and testing

• Solid understanding of UI accessibility practices, standards, and testing methods

• Practice with open development, collaborative code reviews, and providing detailed feedback to other team members

• Comfortable driving improvements to overall framework architecture, testing processes, and external integrations

• Experience working in a complex, fast-paced, results driven development environment

• Intimate knowledge of UIKit, Cocoa Touch, and Xcode

• Experience with third-party iOS libraries and the overall iOS ecosystem

Introduction

The Adobe Design content strategy team is looking for an experienced and effective content strategist to partner with the Spectrum, Adobe’s design system.

You’ll be part of the Adobe Design Content Strategy (ADCS) team is a mighty group of content strategists, content designers, and UX writers focused on in-product user experience. The Content Team is a strong partner to the Spectrum Design System Team and is part of a larger centralized Design team that covers horizontal efforts like brand, icons, engineering, prototyping, and more. We have direct impact on every Adobe product across every business unit.

What you’ll be working on

Spectrum is at a pivotal point. We recently announced Spectrum 2, and over the next couple of years, many products in Adobe’s portfolio will be migrating to the next experience.

• You’ll embed with the Spectrum design team, working with designers, engineers, prototypers, other content strategists, and more

• You’ll bring clarity, consistency, and quality to the way we design our system, develop taxonomy and terminology, write documentation, and more

• You’ll develop strategies and standards on how Spectrum uses language, and how partners both on the Spectrum team and throughout Adobe should extend that thinking.

• Solid knowledge of the Node.js ecosystem and npm package development (2+ years)

Insomniac Events is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Entertainment Makeup Artist to join our Entertainment team with focus on costume and character makeup. This position reports to the Entertainment Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute makeup looks styled to an approved design for performers of events.

• Duplicate work on a regular basis  & within a team to ensure conformity and consistency in look appearance.

• Cooperate with lead artist or director to achieve the desired end effect when applying makeup.

• Work closely with a variety of performers in the application of makeup during show run, rehearsals, preparation, and show changes.

• Read entertainment department look books to ascertain the appropriate materials and the look required.

• Ensure makeup looks are photo ready and well-applied in day & night settings.

• Assist fellow team members with looks & quick changes during run of show.

• Assist in touch ups during events & ensure quality of the overall product throughout.

• Document specific looks by taking photos or writing makeup sheets that can be referred to for future use.

• Prepare & organize the wardrobe area for efficiency & speed.

• Assign, document, & recollect wardrobe items of an approved design to entertainers at the wardrobe check in & out at events.

• Work closely with a variety of performers in the distribution & styling of costume elements, props, footwear & accessories during show run, rehearsals, preparation, and show changes.

• Fit performers to costume sizing that is suited best for body shape & size.

• Provide feedback on all personal appearances and recommend grooming changes if required.

• Ensure the quality & final product of each look before deployment on the event grounds by utilizing the 8-point checklist in the wardrobe outline.

• Assist fellow team members with quick changes in both set-up and run of show.

• Perform other tasks and carry out projects as assigned by the lead wardrobe supervisor or director.

• Repair, clean, and prep wardrobe for the run of the show.

• Make alternations, adjustments, or mend wardrobe items when approved according to needs for all shows.

THE ROLE

Insomniac Events is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Entertainment Wig and Hair Specialists to join our Entertainment team. This position reports to the Entertainment Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare theatrical wigs & hair styled to an approved design for performers of events.

• Restyle, maintain, & make alternations or adjustments to wigs according to the daily schedule for all shows.

• Work closely with a variety of performers in the application of theatrical wigs & headdresses during show run, rehearsals, preparation, and show changes.

• Properly applying & pinning theatrical headdresses & wigs securely for performance.

• Assist fellow team members with headdresses, wigs & quick changes in both set-up and run of show.

• Perform other tasks and carry out projects as assigned by the lead hair artist or director.

• Always maintain a safe & sanitary working environment, conforming to all established health & safety policies and procedures.

• Repair, construct, clean and prep wigs for the run of the show.

• Maintain ongoing maintenance of wigs, headdresses, or hairpieces etc. 

• Maintain documentation for maintenance and participate in rotation of duties as directed. 

• Proper clean up, repack & storage of all headdresses and hair related items at the end of each show.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in hairstyling or at least 3 years of relevant experience in all aspects of theatrical wigs, hairdressing & styling.

• Able to wash and set wigs and recreate a style from a photo in a clear and defined manner.

• Hands on knowledge in appropriate use of styling tools & pinning.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Knowledge of live entertainment and Insomniac brands/shows.

• Experience in entertainment, film, theater, theme park & or live events is a plus.

• Some travel may be requested.

• Use of personal vehicle may be requested. 

• Must be able to work longer festival hours, which may total up to 12 hours onsite at times. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments

• May work in drastic temperature climates

• Must be willing to frequently travel to work events during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
