An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Endoscopy Department, within the Medicine Division, as the Endoscopy Administration Manager.
The Endoscopy Administrative Manager will support the Endoscopy department in improving performance in key areas and overseeing PTL validation and capacity & demand.
They will oversee, lead and co-ordinate the administrative team and be responsible for training a range of staff.
They will also support the Operational Manager in the smooth day-to-day running of the department. The role holder will be responsible for overseeing outpatient waiting times and RTT pathways, assisting the Endoscopy Operational Manager in implementing appropriate action to mitigate RTT breaches; ensuring patient pathway management co-ordination in accordance with the Trust’s Access Policy and National/ Local targets are met e.g. Cancer, RTT, Diagnostic.
The postholder will provide data and information in support of the diagnostic DM01 reporting KPI and will review and correct data quality issues.
Previous management experience, flexibility, experience of working with collecting, interpreting and analysing data; as well as the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues across the Trust is essential.

The Endoscopy Administrative Manager will oversee, lead and co-ordinate the administrative team, including Booking Co-ordinators, Administrators, Schedulers and Receptionists to oversee, lead and co-ordinate all administrative and clerical processes to ensure that a high quality, effective service is delivered.
The postholder will train a range of staff at all levels, including nursing and clinical staff, regarding administrative processes.
The Endoscopy Administrative Manager will support the Operational Manager in the smooth day-to-day running of the department. • Leading the administrative team in the delivery of the service, against agreed service standards and measurable outcomes
• Allocating work to the administrative team, as required to meet service needs
• Conduct regular performance reviews and appraisals with all admin and clerical staff, to include the development of personal development plans, in line with the Trust’s appraisal policy. Ensure all staff are made aware of training opportunities available to them and encourage uptake
• Responsible for the delivery of all key performance measures within Endoscopy.
• Responsible for the management of scheduling of Endoscopy and Respiratory procedure
• Planning and managing the administration of Endoscopy staffing rotas: ensuring lists are set up and cancelled accordingly in a timely manner; ensuring templates are built according to clinical requirements; making short-term adjustments where necessary; identifying and escalating gaps in service provision to the Operational Manager
