The purpose of this position is to provide a full range of accounts payables duties using the Air Force Services Financial Management System (AFSFMS) accounts payable module. Performs the full range of accounts payable duties using double-entry accrual accounting methods and reconciliation as an Accounting Technician using AFSFMS. Creates and manages supplier databases, profiles and accounts. Verifies purchase order and invoice documents are mathematically correct, complete, correctly formatted and entered into the system in accordance with procedural guidance. A. Performs a wide range of tasks involving the maintenance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of financial accounting data and the application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and theories in the management of financial accounts and operations and other related activities. 100%

Principal Accountabilities

Specific responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Primary technical accounting expert in key areas
• Support global accounting function with technical accounting and Flowserve accounting policy inquiries
• Maintain Flowserve accounting policies, including updating on an as-needed basis and approving accounting policy waivers

Required Skills/Experience:

The Corporate Accounting Team is responsible for timely and accurate delivery of all day-to-day accounting and close activities at Corporate Finance, including general accounting, hedging, foreign exchange accounting, pension, benefits, intercompany, partnering with Enterprise Systems Team on ERP (SAP/Costpoint) accounting governance matters, and global statutory reporting.

This position will lead the Corporate Accounting team and will report to the Senior Director Corporate Finance (Corporate Controller).

Summary of the job duties include:

Accounting:

• Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of all day-to-day accounting and close activities at Corporate Finance, including general accounting, hedging, foreign Exchange Accounting, pension, benefits, intercompany and global statutory reporting
• Ensure adherence to Accounting Practices and Procedures (GAAP)

USAID IPSA: Accounting Manager (Contingency Hire)

KBR is looking for an Accounting Manager (AM) to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting the USAID NexGen Global Health Supply Chain Program. This is a full-time position that will accommodate a hybrid remote/office work schedule, but will require occasional travel to the Washington, D.C. area and potential overseas travel. The AM will work under the direct supervision of the Business Manager and serves as the main point of contact for end-to-end accounting management operations.  Must be a highly organized self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-discipline team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve goals.

Responsible for accounting policies and procedures involving the maintenance of a precise general ledger, analysis of balance sheet accounts, and management financial reporting.
