The role

Children's Services in Tameside are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Team Manager to join us in one of our Safeguarding and Support Neighbourhood teams.

As Team Manager you will be responsible for a team providing assessment, planning, and intervention services to children in need of a statutory assessment at the threshold of Child in Need and Child Protection.

You will offer a high level of support and challenge to your social workers and inspire your teams to do their very best for Tameside children.

The Role

The Role

Based at Tame Street, Stalybridge, you will be an enthusiastic and talented HGV/light vehicle mechanic with the drive to keep our Transport Fleet on the move.

This is an opportunity to utilise, and further develop your existing skills carrying out routine maintenance, testing, diagnostic and repair work to our large fleet of HGV’s, light vehicles, plant and specialist equipment. You will be joining a team of vehicle/plant fitters and have a manager who is supportive and keen to facilitate your development.

You should be organised, have good written and oral communication skills, be customer focused, hold a current driving licence (LGV Category C desirable) and trained to NVQ Level 3/City &Guilds (or equivalent) in a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance/Repair discipline. The role
