The Governing Body of Lliswerry High School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled professional to support activities in regards to school data and examination administration starting as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Data and Examinations Manager and will assist with the administration and management of all examinations, (internal and external). This will include overseeing entries, the receipt, distribution, collection and dispatch of examination papers along with organising seating and rooms plans and acting as lead invigilator in coordinating the invigilation team.
In addition to examinations administration, the successful post holder will assist with the school data reporting systems including producing interim reports and setting up the relevant administration and reporting templates for learner progress reports. You will be responsible for managing the appointments for parent consultation evenings and day to day management of the school management information system including playing a key role in producing the schools statutory returns such as the PLASC (Pupil Level Annual School Census).
The ideal candidate will be flexible, accommodating and a team player with qualifications relevant for the role and relevant experience of working with MS Office, in particular Excel and Word is essential.

Position: LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT Location: Bassaleg, Newport Hours: 37.5 hours per week, term time Salary Details: Up to £21,500 per annum As a Teaching Assistant you will need to have a passion for working with young people and want to make a difference in their lives. Who we are: Greenfields school: Located in Bassaleg, Newport supporting learners aged 9-16 with learning differences. The school is registered to provide education for up to 20 pupils, who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD). We cater for a mix of residential and day placements. We are looking for a motivated and well-organised person to work alongside our Examinations Officer as the Examinations Assistant. The main duties will be:
To assist in processing examinations, including registrations and results entries.To deal with enquiries regarding examination and accreditation procedures.To assist with invigilation duties for examinations.
To ensure adequate supplies of examination forms and papers are maintained.
To assist in the allocation of appropriate room accommodation for examinations and accreditation.
The post is term time plus one week to work during school holidays. The post holder will need to be available to work 4 days during the school summer holidays: 2 days GCSE results and 2 days A’ level results. This equates to working for 40 weeks of the year. Some early starts are required during the summer exam season.

Glan Llyn Primary School is an English-medium school and provides education for children aged between 3 years and 11 years. It was established on a growing school basis to support the growing Glan Llyn housing development and sits within the Lliswerry cluster of primary schools. The school currently has 413 pupils on roll and is projected to reach full capacity within the next 18 months. The school also has two dedicated Learning Resource Base classes to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs.

We are looking to appoint School Support Officers who support this vision and who will thrive on the opportunity to work in a busy, welcoming and nurturing school environment.
The successful candidates will be required to undertake administrative, financial and organisational processes and will work with, and under the direction of the School Business Manager to provide business support for the school. It is essential that the successful candidate is approachable and down to earth and can provide a friendly face for all pupils, parents and school visitors whilst maintaining professionalism at all times. As a growing school, we welcome many new families into Glan Llyn on a regular basis and so a positive and cheery disposition is vital as you will be the first point of contact for all visitors to the school site. The ability to work calmly under pressure with accuracy will be essential. Experience of the effective use of Microsoft Office and school-based systems (SIMS and Parent Pay) together with an understanding of GDPR is desirable, as is experience of working in a busy primary school.
Duties include:
• Providing general clerical/administrative support, e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, complete standard forms, and responding to routine correspondence.
• Maintaining manual and computerised records/management information systems, e.g. Parent Pay, SIMS.
• Opening and distributing correspondence (email and post)
• Liaising with the Canteen Manager to manage school lunches
• Undertaking general financial administration, e.g. receiving invoices, processing orders of supplies, compiling and maintaining school inventory.
• Producing lists/information/data as required, e.g. pupil data
• Maintaining accurate pupil records while adhering to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
• Undertaking typing and word processing and other IT-based tasks.
