Age range: 3-11 NOR: 640 (including 64 FTE in Nursery) The Governing Body wish to appoint three pro-active, enthusiastic Teaching Assistants, with a commitment to inclusive learning. An ability to contribute to the warm, caring, ethos of the multi-cultural school is essential. The successful candidates should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, good interpersonal skills, show initiative, share in the planning and evaluation of activities and work well as part of a dedicated team. The appointment is of a temporary nature due to the identified budget provision to provide ALN support in the school, to individual or groups of pupils, as directed. Budget provision has been identified initially until 31st August 2025. However, the appointment will be reviewed on a regular basis, taking into account any changes to the budget provided. The successful applicants will provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Additional Learning Needs on an individual basis within our school. The appointments will be subject to suitably qualified candidates with NVQ Level 2 in Early Years Care and Education, NNEB or equivalent qualifications. This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £12 per hour (scp 2 - 4). This supplement will be reviewed in January 2024 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
