HCBS Housing Need are looking to recruit additional Locum staff to work within an established team who are responsible for providing out of hours support and advice to those in housing need. This can include arranging suitable overnight accommodation and/or advice on how to make homeless presentations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Pupil Support Worker who will contribute to providing a safe, secure and inclusive environment that builds the confidence of young people and enhances their ability to learn during a range of organised physical education (PE) activities. You will be required to work with, and support school pupils and staff during PE activities carried out in a range of locations.

Key Tasks

• Assist PE staff - with supervision of pupils on arrival and departure from PE lessons and whilst off site for PE activities e.g. on designated school transport, at the venue, during registration and changing, assist in keeping pupils on task during all PE activities
• Promote positive behaviours - encourage pupils to bring PE kit and supervise registration and changing areas, support teaching staff with the promotion of positive behaviour among pupils Support Learning – support pupils in completing all aspects of PE activities e.g. practical and theory, support pupils' learning in PE, provide tuition support to individual pupils or to small groups in the completion of PE learning activities, support pupils with identified needs. Provide specialist support for children with identified special needs and/or disabilities, reading, scribing or transcribing for PE theory activities under teaching direction, provide support and feedback for individual learning plans
• First Aid - administer First Aid as required during PE activities both on and off site, short term care for sick children during PE activities off site

• The post holder will have significant relevant experience as a teacher and promoted post holder who has achieved the very highest standards.
