The Boiler Plant Operator utilizes manual and automatic controls to operate multiple utility systems on a continuing basis in accordance with State and Federal regulations and will function as a critical and integral part of the safe and efficient operation of the boiler plant and associated energy systems. 1. Performs nutritional assessment in newly admitted HBPC patients to identify patients at nutritional risk, to obtain pertinent information on eating patterns, economic situation, cultural background, compliance/comprehension of previous diets and other factors influencing nutrient intake and food tolerances/preferences and preparation. Evaluates nutritional assessments, reviews and interprets pertinent diagnostic and treatment data, and develops, implements, and monitors the nutrition care plan through the physician. The dietician initiates laboratory tests to more accurately assess nutritional status. Monitor laboratory values closely and recommends appropriate changes in diet prescriptions to the physician.

2. Develops and implements an individualized plan for medical nutrition therapy in accordance with the patient's medical program goals and objectives. Accurately obtains and interprets medical information pertinent to the patient's nutritional care to determine risk, assess nutritional status and develop individual specialized care plans to simultaneously address several disease processes.

3. Calculates nutritional requirements (calories, protein, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamins, electrolytes, fluid) and necessary diet restrictions or food/drug interactions. Diet prescribed is tailored to each individual client according to physical and metabolic needs. Designs the nutritional treatment plan with consideration for psychosocial, behavioral, ethnic and cultural factors to obtain desirable outcomes and promote long term adherence to a medical nutritional care plan.

4. Formulates therapeutic plans for specialized nutrition support, including enteral nutrition. Identifies patients in need of nutrition support and recommends the appropriate mode of nutrition support, including suitable route, formula and rate of administration. Provides initial and on-going nutritional assessments of receiving central nutrition. Utilizes assessment and evaluation techniques that consider age-specific needs as well as cultural, religious, and ethnic concerns.

5. Orders labs, diets and consults per Scope of Practice/Clinical privileges.

6. Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcome of medical nutrition therapy interventions. Evaluates the patient's response to care based on identified, measurable outcomes and reviews the plan as appropriate.

7. Assesses the adequacy of the caregiver's capacity to prepare recommended meals.

8. Documents nutrition care plan in the patient's medical record, including nutrition assessment data, medical nutrition therapy initiated and recommendation's, results of nutrition counseling and discharge planning from HBPC. RRTs at this level must possess the following:

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology including an in-depth understanding of the functioning of the circulatory and pulmonary systems and the major organs associated with these systems is required. In addition, knowledge of a variety of related acute and chronic disorders and diseases, their effect on the lungs and heart, and the method of treatment.

Knowledge of the pharmacology of common respiratory drugs, common dosages, typical and atypical patient responses and side effects is required.

Knowledge of respiratory therapy and all necessary equipment including but not limited to concentrators, mechanical ventilators, CPAP and Bi-level therapy equipment, pulse oximeters, end-tidal CO2 monitors, suction equipment, oxygen delivery systems, conserving devices, airway clearance devices, portable spirometry testing equipment. The incumbent should be prepared to acquire new knowledge and skills, as necessary relevant to the coordination of care for inpatients and outpatients. The incumbent is expected to perform patient, family, and caregiver education as needed. He/she will educate and train new staff, students, and members of the healthcare team. He/she must have expertise in the operation of all respiratory care equipment and be able to select and manipulate the respiratory equipment and therapy to meet patient needs. Clinical Duties:

1. Oversight: Clinically supervises the training of Nephrology fellows, residents, and medical students to provide quality patient-centered patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings. Ensures resident documentation, with required documented of supervision of all care by the attending physician, is completed in a timely manner per facility bylaws.
2. Examinations: Evaluates patients by examining thoroughly. Appropriate clinical, laboratory, and other pertinent data is obtained to determine care the patient is provided. Assess needs for renal replacement therapies.
3. Diagnosis: Ability to interpret and evaluate clinical data for the purpose of determining diagnosis and clinical status. Able to manage patients with kidney diseases, including but not limited to Chronic Kidney Disease, electrolyte disorders, glomerulonephritis (both primary and secondary), resistant hypertension, recurrent nephrolithiasis, and renal transplantation.
4. Therapeutic ability: Prescribes appropriate and timely treatment; applies indicated therapeutic procedures; recognizes and assess changes in behavior, symptoms, signs, and other pertinent facts about the patient and modifies the plan of treatment when indicated. Be proficient in various dialysis modalities, including Continuous Renal Replacement Therapies.
5. Effectiveness in Emergencies: The incumbent is readily available in emergencies; and quick in recognizing emergency situations and taking timely necessary action. Able to recognize severe electrolyte abnormalities, toxicities and urgent/emergent need for renal replacement therapy.
6. Patient Management: Develops and maintains rapport and gains the confidence of patients and relatives through competence and interpersonal skills to the end that patients and others are informed participants in the treatment effort. • The Budget Technician is responsible for maintenance of fund control point ceilings for the numerous analysis accounts within the Medical Services, Medical Administration and Medical Facilities appropriations.
• Establishing and/or changing fund control points within the Financial Management System (FMS), and integrated Funds Distribution, Control point Activity, Accounts and Procurement (IFCAP) System.
• Inputting fund control point ceilings and loading additional ceilings on quarterly basis and/or as additional funds are received.
• Reconciling manual records of ceilings with the FMS Status of allowance and the AACS monthly.
• Auditing fund control point records, providing suggestions and guidance to control point clerks and officials and assisting them in reconciling accounts as needed.
• Gathering data manually and from remote computers using specialized software to download and manipulate the information, modifies and arranges the data into meaningful reports for use both within and outside of Finance
• Distributing copies of status of Allowance Reports, AACS, TDA lists, Rejected Resolving, and responding to, routing budget inquiries.

Major Duties:

• Maintains the operation and preventive maintenance of all electrical substations;
• Inspects and performs preventive maintenance duties in the 23,000, 4160, 480/277, and 208/120 volt transformation and distribution stations on an on-going basis;
• Installs, modifies, repairs and connects various equipment to electrical power services ranging in size from 110-volt-single phase to 480-volt three-phase, and repairing the 4160 volt starters on chillers;
• Installs, modifies, repairs, maintains, troubleshoots, tests, and loads new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment related to secondary power distribution lines and circuits used to supply a wide range of voltage, amperage, phase, and frequency requirements, to distribution panels, switchgear, power and control circuits; industrial multiphase systems; thermocouple sensors; electrical intrusion alarm and fire alarm system; emergency warning systems; lighting protection systems; high intensity lighting systems with associated controls; target mechanisms; AC and DC rectification systems; galvanic and impressed current cathodic projection systems which prevent corrosion on underground or submerged equipment and pipes; amplifier circuits; and related electrical equipment;
• Installs and repairs various lighting systems and specialized power systems.
• Installs telephone and computer lines, alarm systems, CCTV systems, intercom systems, wiring for patient monitoring systems, and door hold-open and security devices;
• Repairs non-medical electrical equipment such as kitchen and laundry appliances, electric tools, fans, pumps, floor maintenance equipment, electrical warehouse trucks, and other similar equipment.
• Repairs, modifies and adjusts motors and motor control circuits on a large variety of building service equipment located throughout the Medical Center;
• Provides daily inspections of the condition and electrical loading of the switchgears and transformers located in the Medical Center sub-stations.
• Performs other duties assigned.
