This position is responsible for the direction of a highly complex consolidated Radiology program that includes General Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Molecular Imaging, Positron Emission Tomography, General Ultrasound, Vascular Ultrasound, and Interventional Radiology programs. Provides technical and clerical assistance to the professional staff on all administrative matters and activities. • Performing observation-based screening, collecting patient information in collaboration with licensed personnel. This may involve obtaining patient health/medication history, and information about health-related or high- ill complete approved templates and tools.

• Medication administration will comply with national directives and local policies utilizing Bar Code Medication Administration (BCMA) as required and whenever applicable. Duties

• Provide individualized and comprehensive case management, clinical services, and crisis intervention to Veterans deemed at an increased risk for suicide while working under clinical supervision.
• Review consults for consideration of Patient Record Flag for High Risk for Suicide and manage the facility's high-risk flags for suicide.
• Assess and treat complicated psychosocial problems of identified high-risk Veterans who are experiencing a wide range of complicated mental, emotional, behavioral, physical, psychosocial, and environmental problems while working under clinical supervision.

Advanced Medical Support Assistant provide administrative support to our clinical colleagues in the care of our Nation's Veterans. AMSAs are essential to the success of this mission and may be assigned to many areas (service lines) of the medical center that have a need.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Determining health care eligibility for Veteran patients.
- Administrative processing of Veteran patients in enrollment, benefits, and registration.
- Counseling Veteran patients regarding entitlement enrollment for health care benefits and other special programs.
- Obtaining essential information and documentation from Veteran patients for enrollment activities.
- Performing scheduling functions for Veteran patients including appointments, cancellations, and re-scheduling.
- Facilitating communication between Veterans and other facility consult departments.
- Support of inpatient units and wards with administrative duties during day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
- Processing and record keeping of inpatient medical records.
- Manual and electronic data entry.
- Collation of statistical information.
- Entry of Physician orders and consult requests.
- Prepares Veteran patient statistics.
- Providing reception to incoming and outgoing customers and communication.
- Utilizes Microsoft Office software to compile data and formulate reports.

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases ??????? When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)

The AMSA performs administrative support functions including scheduling appointments, inbound/outbound phone support, consult review and necessary documentation related to care coordination for treatment of patients in the medical center or outpatient clinics. The Advanced MSA demonstrates strong communication and customer services skills and works closely with all staff members performing the administrative duties essential to support the timely care of patients and support of the service/unit goals.

Major Duties include but not Limited to: This position requires the dedication and commitment of an experienced RN to function in a leadership role, to include but not limited to, supervisor, role model, educator, coordinating the daily flow of patient care and staff development of staff assigned to the CLC unit.

• Ensure delivery of nursing care to veterans in the CLC.
• Acts as Role Model and mentor for all levels of nursing staff.
• Direct patient care as needed.
• Acts as Role Model and mentor for all levels of nursing staff.
• Plans, organizes, directs and control operations relating to Nursing Practice on CLC.
• Collaborate with Physicians and other Clinical department leaders and staff on operations relating to care of the veterans on CLC.
• Completes and approves staff schedules, Time and Leave.
• Monitors appropriate use of supplies.
• Updates policies and procedures, as appropriate.
• Completes annual Proficiency Appraisals and competency of staff.
• Ensures that CLC meets/exceeds external surveys standards of care.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication skills.
• Proactively plans and interacts with multiple disciplines including but not limited to Dietary, SPS, and Environmental Engineering.
