We are currently looking to appoint a People and OD Assistant to join our Performance, Development and Reward Team within the People and Organisational Development (P&OD) department. As a member of our P&OD team, you'll play a crucial role in fostering an environment where talent thrives and innovation flourishes.
About the role
As a People and OD Assistant, you will be responsible for the planning, co-ordination and administrative implementation of all Performance and Reward activities and initiatives in support of the University’s People & Organisational (P&OD) strategy.
This will include providing expert advice and administrative support for the University’s Academic Promotion/Zone Movement process, Early Career Development Programme and annual Performance & Development Review cycle as well as the various employee benefits and reward schemes. Reporting to the People & Organisational Development Business Partner, you will have a role to play in process improvement and will be involved in projects and engagement events, fostering a positive work culture within an inclusive University community.
About you
With previous experience of working in a busy People & OD (HR) office, including experience of working to/ meeting multiple deadlines, you will also have a demonstrable ability to manage your own time effectively, prioritising a busy workload whilst working towards team goals and deadlines.
You will be interacting with staff across the University at a range of levels, therefore excellent written and verbal communication, and sound people skills, are essential.
The successful candidate will have a high level of initiative and decision-making capability, with the ability to resolve issues and determine when to involve more senior colleagues.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week, Monday - Friday) and open-ended (permanent)
