What You Will Do:

The Financial Management Consultant helps clients optimize all elements of their finance organization, including operating model design, sustainable cost reduction, financial planning and analysis, management reporting, financial systems architecture, and full-scale finance transformation.

Responsibilities:

Provide ongoing financial management support to Federal client in accordance with Federal financial management requirements

Support quantitative development of business case documentation (e.g., needs analysis, cost/benefit analysis)

What You Will Need:

What You Will Do:

The Technology Innovation & Management (TIM) group within Guidehouse’s Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure (ES&I) practice, provides technical and market analysis, research, and strategic planning and analysis support related to emerging energy technologies, policies, and initiatives for the public sector. The TIM strategy and analysis team supports the Department of Energy, NGOs, and state/regional energy organizations in strategic planning, research and development roadmaps, stakeholder engagement, federal accelerators, technology deployment and scaling programs, decarbonization pathways and analysis, and other policy analysis, data collection/modeling, and research projects related to energy efficient and emerging low-carbon building technologies.

As a Managing Consultant on our team you will support broad engagement with stakeholders including government agencies, tribal organizations, industry representatives, manufacturers, non-profit organizations, and advocacy groups. Other responsibilities may include grant program management, market and technology assessments, strategy and plan formulation, and coordination of disparate workstreams.  Specific responsibilities may include:

• Supporting federal energy clients with design, formulation, and implementation of their programs

• Stakeholder engagement including support for developing engagement strategies, developing engagement content, supporting stakeholder workshops and for a, supporting outreach efforts, and tracking engagement

• Providing detailed research and analysis on energy-related activities including conducting market research and analyzing market trends

• Performing analyses and model development; data collection; spreadsheet creation and management

• Designing strategic planning frameworks and assisting with planning processes and plan development

• Preparing reports and other deliverables for clients

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• 5 - 7 years of directly related working experience

What You Will Do:

The Senior Audit Remediation Consultant helps clients optimize all the internal controls throughout all elements of their organization, including financial reporting, accounting, logistics, property management, civilian pay, and procurement. This role supports audit remediation activities, such as developing/updating process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures, and developing/implementing corrective action plans to address findings. This also includes performing recurring testing, such as testing internal controls, designing and executing Managers Internal Controls Programs. What You Will Do:

The Lead System Architect/Engineer for this large and complex identity and credential management system will be responsible for leading the definition and description of system architecture and associated diagrams and specifications and the coordination of that architecture through the test, quality assurance and production phases.

Responsibilities will include overseeing the planning, transition, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of an enterprise identity and credentialing system, coordinating with technical leads and support teams to ensure the inclusion of necessary milestones, and managing a diverse team of geographically distributed support staff, including subcontractors. The Lead System Architect/Engineer will develop and maintain primary senior customer relationships at multiple levels of the organization, meet with the customer to review plans, progress, deliverables, etc., and ensure alignment with contractual responsibilities. The Lead System Architect/Engineer will focus the efforts of the technical and engineering staff and will lead the creation of the full range of system architecture documents and the coordination of those documents and specifications through the the life cycle of milestones, reviews, and board approvals. The Lead System Architect/Engineer will ensure the architecture is sufficiently detailed to support the development of deployment plans, bill of materials, and other associated program functions.

What You Will Need:

• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET federal security clearance; or higher

• NINE (9) or more years of relevant experience

• At least 5 years of experience delivering technology programs in the Department of Defense, mastery of methods and/or tools to control cost, schedule, and performance

• At least 3 years experience with identity management and credentialing systems delivered to federal clients. 

• Knowledge of Defense system delivery life cycle and related acquisition frameworks.

• Strong team management and communications skills

Responsibilities

What You Will Need:

What You Will Do:
Guidehouse's Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing financial risk, including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, assisting with the integration (including system needs) and educating partners/managers on how to navigate our various financial systems. LoS Finance, which is comprised of Vertical, Regional and Business Unit (BU) teams‚ is the primary interface to partners and client service staff. This role is responsible for working closely with their leaders in developing, improving, and driving financial and operational processes for the business. This will include developing and executing budgets and forecasts, asset management (i.e. billings and collections activities), and overseeing engagement economics for individual partners, clients, verticals, markets, BUs, and regions. This team manages portfolios at the various reporting levels as well as identify opportunities to gain competitive advantages. The Finance and Accounting Team leads Guidehouse's financial management and accounting activities by driving accuracy, compliance, and consistency in alignment with Guidehouse policies and Federal contracting regulations. What You Will Do:

The Lead Facilitator will work with the OCED engagement team and location-based community partners to lead discussion-based events with the goal of listening to and learning from stakeholders and community members to inform the structure and content of future public engagement activities with OCED. Please note, we are not seeking candidates with specific topic/content knowledge expertise.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in the adaptation of written and digital facilitation materials, including slide presentations, videos, and facilitation guides, to suit community needs for each engagement event. This may include changing phrasing, timing, or questions with community partner guidance.

• Recruit [1] and/or train facilitators (about 15-16 facilitators for 100 person community forums and about 5-6 facilitators for 20-25 person community dialogues and stakeholder workshops) to lead table discussions with guidance and suggestions from community partners for each engagement event.

• Coordinate or arrange question and answer protocols and procedures during engagement events.

• Recruit and/or train notetakers, survey/vote collectors, and table conversation observers as required.

• Develop and/or adapt training materials and host training for table facilitators on good engagement practices, facilitation guides, and table materials for each engagement event.

• Lead each engagement event by guiding table facilitators and participants through their discussions by maintaining event timing, adhesion to facilitation guide, and ensuring conversations remain safe, fair, and productive.

• Ensure timely distribution of all engagement materials (surveys, agendas, guides, background information, discussion materials, etc.) to participants and facilitators before, during and after engagement events.

• Ensure timely collection and secure keeping of outputs (survey data, worksheets, activity boards, flip charts, etc.) produced by participants and table facilitators.

• Assist in the coordination of event logistics as required (including pre and post event activities) for community dialogues of up to 25 people and large engagement events of up to 100 people. This may include tasks such as coordinating or arranging AV (audio visual), IT (information technology) support, and catering as needed for engagement events.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3-10 years of relevant industry or consulting experience (excluding internships/coops, or fellowships); Or Master’s degree and -10 years of relevant industry or consulting experience (excluding internships/coops, or fellowships)

• Outstanding facilitation skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to handle challenging discussions and conflict resolution

• Empathy and cultural sensitivity

• Ability to synthesize/summarize key points in a discussion

• Due to nature of client engagements, US Citizenship restrictions apply

• Ability to travel as needed

• Must currently reside in the USA

• The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described

• This hybrid position (candidate must be flexible, one to three days a week in the Guidehouse or Client office - DC) is open to candidates virtually from Arlington, VA

• The salary range for this role may vary based on relevant degree, work experience and physical location at time of hire

• Level of hire will be determined through Guidehouse interviewing process
