The Program Manager is responsible for Managing projects which requires a unique set of skills that are consolidated into the role of Program Manager (PM). This crucial position sits at the center of a triangle made up between Lonza, our Customers and their Patients. You will therefore be responsible for ensuring relationships are built and that the project/program is delivered according to the expected quality, timelines and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
Be the interface between the Customer and Lonza to ensure execution and delivery according to Lonza and the Customer’s expectations
Understand the Customer’s needs and represent their interests by acting as their advocate on-site
Operate accordingly to PM Standard Work processes to effectively manage projects and ensure one face to the Customer
Fully accountable for all operational aspects in leading and motivating cross-functional project teams to deliver on all scope objectives with the highest level of quality
Ensure Customer satisfaction throughout the life of the program through collaborative relationship management with AM/Sales
Ensure adherence to Global Program and Project Center of Excellence (PPM CoE) Standards, including maintenance of data integrity excellence in Planview
Passionate about customer focus with a true “Customer Comes First” mindset and constantly seeks opportunities to improve performance through partnership and collaboration.
In conjunction with Account Management, build strong relationships to maximize the Customer’s experience with Lonza
Able to translate the strategic vision for the project into actionable objectives and plans that are ambitious but achievable
Equally comfortable functioning in a scientific or technical environment as well as in a purely business related setting
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree is required, preferred to have degree in related Life Sciences or STEM discipline
Preferred to have some level of exposure to Project Management or Program Management , but not required.
Preferred to have PMP or relevant Project Management certification
Highly preferred to have 5+ years overall professional experience in Life Science/Pharmaceuticals/Biotech/Medical Device industries, or preferred to have similar experience in related manufacturing industries.
Highly preferred to have prior experience at CDMO within Life Science/Pharmaceuticals/Biotech/Medical Device industries. Or preferred to have contract manufacturing environment experience in other industries.
Must be able to build consensus between customer and internal Lonza teams.
Must be able to "influence without authority" to achieve goals, and manage competing interests between various stakeholders in projects.
Technical understanding of mammalian cell culture manufacturing is ideal, but not required. Prior experience within Biologics and Mammalian Cell Culture projects in research or academic setting is helpful as well.
