We are seeking a team member with strong background in polymer engineering to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in engineering plastics and rubbers with interest to drive innovation and change through whitepaper/landscaping advisories, research projects, and tech scouting. Job Responsibilities:

• Engage TE BUs to identify and address technical needs related to engineering plastics and rubbers.
• Develop a deep understanding of engineering plastics and rubbers through comprehensive reviews, experimental trials, and tech scouting.
• Lead partnership research activities related to characterization, formulation, and processing of plastics and rubbers, for connectors, sealants, cables and microfluidics (as needed).
• Author whitepapers, technology landscaping reports, and advisory documents to support TE’s strategic objectives and technology development. Launch proof-of-concept projects as appropriate.
• Manage projects from initial concept through execution, including scope definition, partner selection, and project management to achieve technical and business goals.
• Oversee internal project documentation and compliance matters, including contracts, budget tracking, and technical reporting.
• Represent SG team in various forums, including technical conferences (internal & external) and senior management presentations, to share knowledge and innovations in polymer engineering.
• Collaborate with other TE polymer centers of innovation to drive alignment of SG activities.

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Polymer Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in R&D or product development, with a focus on engineering plastics and rubbers. Demonstrated expertise in material characterization, formulation, and processing.
• Proven experience in leading technical projects involving advanced polymers and rubbers in an industrial or corporate setting.
• Familiarity with tools and methodologies related to polymer engineering, such as material characterization techniques, formulation strategies, and processing technologies.
• Experience scouting technology state-of-art through literature, patent landscapes, or conferences
• Knowledge of engineering PjM (scope, deliverables mgmt.) and technical tools (e.g. moldflow, FA, RCA)
• Effective in verbal/written forms communication.

Job Requirements:

• Ph.D. / Masters in Mechanical Engineering. Specialization in microfabrication or biotechnology could be advantageous.
• 5-8 years work experience leading technical projects involving design, materials and/or process development in an industrial or corporate setting.
• Experience with precision machining, lithography and packaging/assembly technologies used in microfluidics is advantageous. General knowledge in precision mechanical machining methods such as milling, stamping and etching.
• Knowledge of engineering PjM (scope, deliverables mgmt.) and technical tools (e.g. moldflow, FA, RCA)
• Experience scouting technology state-of-art through literature, patent landscapes, or conferences
• Effective in verbal/written forms communication.

This role is a critical part of the CS Segment EHS leadership team, focusing on reducing safety risks across all sites. Their primary role will start from machine/process safety:

• Implement and ensure compliance to risk assessment and machine/process safety standards and specifications established by TE and CS Segment.
• Establish a clear vision and strategy driving design for safety and effective controls for safety.
• Set clear goals and KPI’s. Work closely with BUs, sites and function teams (such as Manufacturing Engineering, Center of Excellence and Manufacturing Automation) to establish appropriate goals and drive proactive action plan to reduce risks of various job tasks.
• Create proof of concept (POC) for engineering control, substitution, and elimination of risks.
• Coach and develop BU and site machine/process safety teams and establish talent pipeline.
• Establish a culture which drives the most effective safety controls.
• Drive machine/process safety improvement and integration for new acquisitions.
• Lead safety assurance program

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in safety engineering or manufacturing engineering or similar subject.
• Total Years Experience 12+ , more than 5 years of experiences in safety engineering or manufacturing engineering field.
• Have extensive knowledge and expertise in influencing safety or engineering controls across complex manufacturing operations in global settings.
• Have direct experience in overseeing large global manufacturing operations with a variety of core processes such as stamping, plating, molding, assembly, compounding, tubing, cabling, with a track record of success.
• A hands-on and accountable leader, action-oriented, who can align the organization towards critical actions that drive excellent results and performance.
