About the Role

As a Deputy Manager in our home you will help and support the team on a daily basis, whilst having the children and young people's interest at heart. Each of our residential homes is a specialist in a specific area of need and we are looking for Deputy Managers with a passion to help children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and Social Emotional and Mental Health.

You will be the heart and soul of our home, working alongside the Home Manager to provide operational leadership to ensure everything runs smoothly with the day-to-day management of the home and any linked services.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about our children and young people achieving their potential, and this includes staff too! You'll supervise and support staff to deliver services that meet the needs of our children and young people whilst injecting fun, energy and adventure into how things are done. Work will include managing complexity, risk or vulnerability, which means you will need to know the Ofsted inspection framework, the quality standards governing children's homes and be able to evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of work within the home. We also want you to be connected to your team and our young people, providing them with visible leadership that is aspirational.

The Hospital Discharge team services to all Surrey residents who meet social care criteria in line with the Care Act. We are leading the way in implementing new ways of working in personalisation and a recovery-focused strength-based approach. About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Social Worker looking to develop their experience in a busy specialist service. We are looking for a Social Worker who is keen to work in a proactive, dynamic, friendly adult social care countywide team that undertakes adult social care assessments and carers assessments, s.42 safeguarding enquiries and Mental Capacity Assessments. We work collaboratively with our local Mental Health Trust and other stakeholders to facilitate safe and timely discharge from hospital for our residents.

The Children with Disabilities Service works with children with severe and complex disabilities. We work across all areas of social work including Children in Need, Child Protection and Looked After Children. • Previous experience in a pensions/financial services environment desirable. Experience of dealing with external clients.

This full-time role has a starting salary of £40,929 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.

About the Team We are a caring and committed team serving residents living in Woking who find themselves in need of drawing on care and support. We work with residents who are over 65 who may need care and support, as well as those 65 and younger who have physical disabilities, illness or sensory impairments. The team works closely with carers, family members and partner organisations to enable residents to live their best possible lives, without leaving anyone behind.
