This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new Adolescent Service that has been created in Surrey which brings together a range services for young people, including those who go missing, those involved in serious youth violence, and those vulnerable to exploitation, including criminal and sexual exploitation.

Our team includes social workers and adolescent practitioners who are focused on achieving positive outcomes for young people. We are committed to doing things differently through implementing a new model for working with adolescents, taking into account current research and best practice.

About the Team The Reablement Service is part of the Adults Wellbeing and Health Partnerships directorate. We are a multi-disciplinary team who, provide short term support for up to 6 weeks, to people usually in their own homes to promote independence and choice for people by helping them work towards their reablement goals as set out in their support plan. Our aim is to help improve people's quality of life, maximise long term independence and enable people to remain or return to live in their own home within the community. We are an Occupational Therapy-led service and our community workforce includes Occupational Therapists, Specialist Workers, Team Leaders, Integrated Reablement Workers and Reablement Assistants. All roles work in a way that seeks to improve people's lives by working on their strengths, rather than their weaknesses, and making use of the community and networks around them, as well as local authority-provided services. About the role Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) provide an emergency service that looks after approximately 1.18 million people. The Logistics Department within SFRS support the service and maintain a wide variety of vehicles and equipment, from front-line appliances to boats and everything in between, as well as a number of specialist vehicles. About the Team Our team works collaboratively with Forensic Outreach Liaison Service (FOLS). About the role
Sitting within the Communications Team, with a dotted line into the Children's Additional Needs and Disabilities Service, you will play a key role in the production of high-quality and strategic communications to key stakeholders and partners, including:

• Working with strategy leaders and the CFLL communications team to plan a strategic calendar of key communications opportunities and milestones
• Drafting and sharing regular updates to parents/carers, schools and settings, partners and other key audiences related to the Additional Needs and Disabilities Strategy and related workstreams, including a termly newsletter
• Demonstrate the service improvement journey to key stakeholders and residents through regular and informative updates and case studies
• Working closely with the CFLL communications team to share key updates via corporate communication channels
• Offer strategic communications advice on internal communications within the AND service, and across CFLL to ensure professionals are informed about processes, news and transformation progress, progress is celebrated, and individuals understand their role in delivering the AND strategy objectives
• Generate engagement on the core communications channels for children's additional needs and disabilities: the Local Offer website and social media
• Responding to media enquiries quickly, compassionately and honestly, with support from CFLL Communications Managers

Shortlisting Criteria To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application will need to clearly evidence:

• An ability to work across both internal and external communications and identify and adapt content and messaging for sharing on appropriate channels
• Leadership, partnership working and influencing skills
• Flexibility to adapt writing styles and techniques to suit different audiences
• A sound understanding of good communications practices in relation to accessibility
• Experience working with, and collating information from, colleagues across multiple teams to produce clear communications content
