Staffordshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and skilled Training Facilitator to join our team and enhance the quality of social care across the county.

In this role, you will work flexibly across various care settings, locations, and providers to develop and deliver training programs that ensure care is provided in accordance with current standards.

​This is a fixed term post for 2 years.

As a Training Facilitator, you will:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs tailored to diverse settings and audiences.
• Ensure compliance with current standards by staying updated on changes in regulations and best practices.
• Create bespoke training programs and deliver recognised programs such as Oliver McGowan.
• Provide advice, guidance, and support to care providers to promote and achieve best practices.
• Participate in quality assurance activities including evaluation and self-assessment to drive continuous improvement.

• A proven track record in developing and delivering training programs to adult learners.
• Relevant work experience within a social care provider setting.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex care needs.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize workloads.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with staff at all levels and build effective relationships with stakeholders and other professionals.

• A Level 3 qualification in training and/or assessment.
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
• Proficiency in information and communication technology.
• Demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to travel independently across the county as required.

• be supporting the Family Practitioner Leads to carry out the Local Authority’s SEND duties in relation to co-ordinating Education Health &Care (EHC) assessments
• producing EHC Plans and carrying out annual reviews
• work closely with our children and young people with special educational needs and disability and their families as well as a range of qualified professionals in education, health and social care.
• develop collaborative and respectful relationships, promoting choice and independence and improve outcomes
• ensure that education, health, and care plans comply with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements in addition to the policies, standards and procedures.

It’s a fast-paced role so you’ll need to be able to manage your own caseload independently and as part of the team.

You will also:

• Need excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have knowledge of the SEND legislation plus, it’s important that you can reflect on practice and improve as a result.

We are looking for you to be a qualified Chartered Legal Executive, Solicitor or Barrister with:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Information Officer to join a dynamic and motivated Accountancy team on a permanent basis, helping Staffordshire to face the issues currently challenging local government in the area of special educational needs.

The post is hybrid working (working from home and typically we come into the office at Staffordshire Place 1, Stafford 1-2 days a week).

Our Accountancy Division provides a range of services with the aim of providing strategic financial advice, securing the stewardship of assets, supporting effective decision making and enabling good financial management.

The post sits in part of a friendly and approachable team within the Decision Making Support Unit.

The main responsibilities for this role will be:

• Recording of financial information relating to pupils with special educational need.
• Recording and processing payments to educational providers.
• Raising debtor invoices.
• Assisting in maintaining financial system processes, coding hierarchies and control arrangements to provide accurate budget records.
• Processing accruals, prepayments, journals, and budget adjustments.
• Dealing with queries from schools and providers about funding for pupils.
• Monitoring the integrity of budget records to ensure accurate reporting of spending.

Ideally, you should be AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualified however we are happy to consider your application if you have don't have this qualification but have experience working in a financial environment.

We are also looking for you to,

• be practiced in the production of accurate financial information and will have a good understanding of business processes and controls.
• have good numeric and literacy skills, be effective in the use of spreadsheet and other office applications and capable of retrieving and manipulating information for the production of reports.

As a Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) Team Leader you will:

The ICT Service Desk provides technical support, advice and information on a wide range of hardware and applications and is the single point of contact for all customer ICT requests, problems and issues.

• Thinking on your feet and solving issues first line
• Developing our self service customer portal
• Provide excellent customer service at all times

We are looking for you to have:

• excellent technical ICT knowledge, to include PC hardware, mobiles and tablets, a wide range of software including Operating Systems, Office 365, Active Directory and Active Directory Azure
• exceptional communication and customer care skills
• experience of working in a support environment is essential.

The Business & Enterprise Team is responsible for the County Council’s support to Businesses throughout the County. This includes the County Farms, Enterprise Centres, Business advice and support, Planning, Economic Regeneration and the Staffordshire Business Environment Network.

The position is Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm, office hours.

You will be working in the Shire Hall Business Centre in the middle of Stafford Town Centre. Your job will be to provide reception and administrative support to assist the Enterprise Centre Manager in the operation of the building and the businesses who work there.

You will also:

• Ensure that occupiers are aware of sources of business advice and assistance.
• Be an on-site Reception presence at Shire Hall Business Centre, Stafford.
• Arrange for prospective occupiers to view vacant units and maintain a list of vacant units and an up-to-date list of occupiers.
• Arrange for letting documentation (licenses) to be signed.
• Arrange for the hire of meeting rooms and hot desking facilities.

You will need:

• to have achieved a Level 2 NVQ in Business Admin, Customers Services or equivalent and be willing to study to level 3.
• an IT qualification to the competency level of ECDL, CLAIT or equivalent and be familiar with Microsoft Office packages.
• good standards of literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• previous experience in an office or reception environment is needed and experience of working with small businesses in a customer relations role would be most beneficial.

You'll also work with commissioners within children’s social care and health to assist with the procurement of services, particularly in relation to joint responsibilities under the Mental Health Act (1983/2007) Section 117 aftercare. Combining health and social models of intervention is more likely to promote resilience and recovery for vulnerable children.

A key function of this role is to challenge dominant medical perspectives of mental health and ensure that children’s social work issues and themes are considered by mental health services in their work with children.

You'll provide training and guidance across children’s services to deliver practice improvement and be responsive to local and national developments. Undertaking the role of an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) on behalf of Staffordshire County Council ensuring that the wider AMHP service is supported with matters involving AMHP assessments of children. As well as mentoring and supervision of a small number of AMHP's employed in children's services.

You'll also:

• provide professional guidance and support to practitioners and managers with case work and promoting enhanced knowledge and skills in relation to children's mental health.

You'll be a qualified Social Worker and have additional professional qualifications that evidence skills and knowledge in working with or mentoring others as well as:

• an approved mental health practitioner, AMHP and be registered with Social Work England.
• experience of working at a senior level in a local authority.
• have good knowledge of relevant legislation in respect of children's social care and mental health.
• the ability to lead service change and improvements and be able to quickly build and maintain strong and credible stakeholder relationships.
• excellent communication skills and be able to promote learning and wok collaboratively in a complex field of practice in order to promote shared learning and joint working.

The Brokerage Liaison Officer plays a vital role in the Adult Social Care pathway in Staffordshire. This position is responsible for obtaining care offers from the market and establishing care and support for residents and/or their representatives.

The First Contact Team, engages with citizens of Staffordshire, carrying out strengths based, outcome focused assessments via the telephone and virtual means. The Care Act 2014 compliant assessments determine citizens assessed eligible needs while promoting their assets and facilitating their independence.
