As an Account Manager you will lead and manage Flavor accounts to grow sales and profitability according to objectives, by establishing dsm-firmenich (Firmenich Pty Ltd) as the clients' key partner, winning projects, and selling flavors/ingredients profitably. This is a permanent full-time role based in Sydney, NSW. Task & Responsibilities Your responsibilities Generating sales revenue and identifying business opportunities and competitive landscape for existing and new customers, and developing commercial strategy through account plan Develop working relationship with (new and existing) clients, and establish company as a key partner to obtain briefs and profitable business. Responsible for salesforce activities such as provide accurate quotation and pricing to customers for each project and enter properly in project management system. Understand client needs and technical challenges and develop proactive promotions/lead proactive projects to generate new business opportunities. Brief creation and development teams. Lead/coordinate projects with internal partners and with clients (including flavor and ingredient submissions). Manage product life-cycle with MDM, demand planning, customer care and supply chain to ensure high level of services to clients. Build account sales budgets annually, monitor sales and profitability Create and manage technical innovation pipeline for customers Monitor client needs to identify business opportunities, decision factors and success criteria and define action plan accordingly. Negotiate commercial terms, including payment and pricing Act as commercial lead for Flavor segmentation. Coordinate with category, business unit, technical and marketing teams to ensure the market has the right products, technologies and promotions for the market. Qualification & Experience You bring Minimum Bachelor degree of Science in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Biomedical Science or equivalent. 5-8 years of relevant experience in sales and business development, particularly experience in food, beverage and manufacturing industry. Strong leadership capabilities and established track record in effective leadership talents which includes people development in channel partners. Possess excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills. Demonstrate strong passion to understand and network with clients as it relates to food, beverage, nutrition and flavor.
