We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in building data infrastructure. You'll develop your problem-solving skills by contributing to the design and implementation of data pipelines and storage solutions. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Analysts in building and managing data products, including the SISTIC Data Warehouse/Data Lake.
• Contribute to data pipeline development by learning from experienced engineers and assisting with tasks like design, testing, and documentation.
• Learn to identify and troubleshoot issues in existing data pipelines, gaining experience for future improvements.
• Gain exposure to building data pipelines by working on smaller components or contributing to specific stages.
• Support data warehouse and database maintenance under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Learn to monitor data pipelines and identify potential issues.
• Write clean and well-documented code under the supervision of experienced engineers.
• Gain experience with data ingestion techniques like scripting, web scraping, APIs, and SQL queries.
• Participate in code review sessions to learn from best practices and improve understanding.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Strong foundation in computer science or a related field (e.g., coursework, projects)
• Core engineering concepts: Demonstrate a strong desire to learn about core data engineering concepts, such as data pipelines (ETL processes) and data storage solutions (data warehouses and data lakes). Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform would be a plus.
• Strong foundation in Python and SQL: This demonstrates the intern's ability to work with data manipulation tools commonly used in data engineering.
• Interest in learning Apache Spark (PySpark): This highlights the intern's desire to explore big data processing frameworks relevant to the field.
• Big data analytics: Demonstrate a basic understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem, including concepts like distributed storage and parallel data processing.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts.

We are looking for an Intern who is keen to work and learn in the ticketing/event industry.

• You are the face of the company and the first point of contact for the customer.
• Monitor staff attendance and ensure Call Centre Service Levels are achieved.
• Handle and follow up on open and escalated cases in a timely manner.
• Answering multiple hotlines (including ticketing, helpdesk, corporate booking) and outbound calls for cancelled/ postponed shows.
• Deliver an enjoyable and smooth experience for our customers via customer emails and social media enquiries.
• Handle escalated customer complaints.
• Provide feedback to further enhance existing processes to improve the customer experience.
• Other ad-hoc duties assigned by your reporting supervisors.
• Answering helpdesk calls from agents and staff.
• Manage brochure and ticket stock replenishment from agents.
• Troubleshoot and conduct authorised agent’s printer maintenance.
• Ticket fulfilment duties (ticket printing, delivery arrangement, follow ups on bounced mails).
• Set up and perform venue ticket sales and collections.
• Perform the role of supervisor to ensure smooth operations at venue sales.
• Daily reconciliation of ticket sales.

To provide status update on the overdue invoices by documenting details of follow up actions (such as dates and type of actions taken e.g., calls or emails) in the Finance file. Note: This is to be done monthly.

• Administrative support for event settlements.

To liaise with the business team (Client Success/Business Development) to ensure the required documents (e.g., signed contracts/agreements, stixcloud reports, BI reports & etc.) are saved in the respective event folders.

• Able to commit at least 6 months.
• Able to start in August/September.

• Support the team in growing and amplifying the SISTIC brand organically via channels including website, mobile app, search and social media
• Research and work with Head of BD to prepare compelling business development collaterals
• Explore new channels for advertising & promotion and partnership opportunities
• Track and evaluate the effectiveness of all marketing initiatives or campaigns and proactively roll out test plans to improve campaign performance

Job Requirements:

The Intern is the main contact person to liaise and support clients in their event ticketing needs from end to end, including gathering of event details, putting events on sales, marketing support to the event day operations. This role reports to the Client Success Manager.

• Maintain and enhance the business relationships with assigned clients.
• Key liaison point for clients on event details and support.
• Ensure that events details are accurately configured into the ticketing system and promptly disseminated to all sales channels.
• Assist clients in their ticket inventory management and maximize ticket sales.
• Resolve any ticketing issues that may occur.
• Work closely with the marketing and technical departments to support the clients’ requirements and needs in areas of marketing and ticketing system.
• Assist in data analysis, preparation of monthly sales and management reports.
• Handle ad hoc projects and any other duties assigned.
