Own essential administrative work to support the activities of our field agents and schedulers. To maintain and accurately update customer accounts and internal data sources to accurately reflect the activity of a Field Debt Solutions Agent or third party field agent in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Completing initial and final checks on accounts to ensure suitability for Warrant execution
• Taking calls from to support scheduling activities
• Monitoring and completing work within task lists to minimise drop off and ensure we are adhering to regulatory time frames

What you'll do:

• Review accounting transactions for supplier income such as calculating accurate accruals and prepayments
• Work closely with our food commercial buying team to perform financial control checks on supplier income contracts
• Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to check the accuracy of income recognition
• Look after the accounting for specific costs and revenues
• Balance frts account code reconciliation (acr) and highlight any issues
• Produce high quality reporting

What we need from you:

• Experience in a finance environment, or part qualified in accountancy
• Experience in balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and pre-payments
• The ability to work collaboratively, challenging and influencing colleagues at all levels
• Great communication skills, with the ability to translate findings to both financial and non-financial audiences
• Confidence using IT systems including Microsoft Office, with particularly strong Excel skills i.e V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, Sumifs
• Experience of dealing with large data sets and the ability to analyse numbers
• Experience leading a team/supervising experience

Your Role:

As an Accounts Assistant at Co-op, you'll make sure large-scale contracts are invoiced and accounted for correctly and in-line with GSCOP regulations. We'll also look to you to support with the management of our internal budget and action day-to-day account reconciliations.

• Work with our suppliers to make sure large-scale contracts are invoiced and accounted for correctly
• Investigate, solve and re-invoice any invoice disputes and carry out supplier rebate collection
• Reconcile accounts and provide accurate commentary alongside these
• Explore financial data and reports to identify any potential issues
• Make sure invoiced figures are in line with forecasted figures

Your Experience/Qualifications

Essential

• Invoicing experience or experience in a similar role (e.g. Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Finance Assistant etc)
• Good Microsoft Excel skills - VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, index matching, sumifs are a must.
