A bit about the role

With a Fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including traditional fuel and electric vehicles, LCVs and HGVs, maintaining our vehicles is a true team effort. - You’ll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
- You’ll use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.
- You’ll also have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
A bit about you

- Qualified mechanic: you’re fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You’ve got your own toolkit for standard repairs.
- Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV / HGV.
- Valid UK driving license: You hold a full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.

Part of the role will be loading and unloading your van and sorting it into correct onward distribution.

Driving Licence Requirements

A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address), having less than 6 penalty points is essential but ideally a clean licence is preferred, please note you will be required to show this at assessment. You must have obtained your Periodic Driver Certificate of Professional Competence qualification (CPC) and hold a valid Drivers Qualification Card (DQC) with 35 hours training to be eligible to apply and will need to be able to present your Digital Tachograph Card, if selected for assessment.

THE ROLE
As a Lead Customer Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading and developing a team of Customer Operations Managers (COM) to take ownership and accountability to deliver results across a balance scorecard. Whilst at the same time deploying significant transformational changes.
You’ll be the point of contact for external stakeholders and hold the responsibility through delegation, coaching and support to ensure all COMs complete tasks to time and quality, delivering the scorecard performance.
You’ll produce the weekly resourcing plan and ensure all COMs deliver towards this. Leading on safety will be key, ensuring each COM completes their safety tasks and the unit’s specific PIC tasks are accomplished, alongside confirming each COM is managing their fleet, and the unit hits overall targets.
Furthermore, you’ll also have full accountability for your Delivery team, you’ll work through the morning and into the afternoon and ensure the smooth running of all deliveries. You'll lead and inspire a team of front-line colleagues to work efficiently and provide excellent service at the doorstep. Being a great leader means creating a positive and engaging work environment, promoting inclusivity, and being a role model by living our values.
To ensure we reach our best with people management, resource planning and specialist project activity, you’ll also partner with Trade Union, taking the lead for the unit, to keep raising the bar as you coach your team to drive performance improvement. THE ROLE

Full accountability for the Delivery team of up to 25 frontline staff, you’ll work through the morning and into the afternoon and ensure the smooth running for all deliveries. You'll lead and inspire a team of front-line colleagues to work efficiently and provide excellent service at the doorstep. It’s essential that you have a full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address) covering up to 3.5 tonnes (Cat B). In an ideal world you’ll have a clean licence but it definitely shouldn’t have more than 6 penalty points. And, just so you know, you’ll be required to show your licence at your assessment.
