We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Director of Public Health to join us!
This is a fixed term (12 month) role with hybrid working, and a salary of £74,572 - £104,159 full-time equivalent per annum. We welcome applicants seeking a full time or part time role (if part time, minimum 0.8 full-time equivalent).

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Deputy Director of Public Health to join our public health team.
The Role:
The RBWM is looking for an experienced Consultant in Public Health / Deputy Director of Public Health to work within their multidisciplinary team for a 12-month fixed term period as Deputy Director of Public Health. The post reports into the Director of Public Health.
Your role will involve:
Leading the development of our Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy (JHWBS).
Make progress towards RBWM’s development of a ‘roadmap’ for becoming a Health in All Policies (HiAP) council.
Provide management and leadership to two Public Health Service Leads and the Senior Public Health Analyst, whose portfolios include NHS Health Checks, Tobacco Control, Drugs and Alcohol, Healthy Living (adults focus), Inclusion Health and Health Intelligence.
The post holder will also deputise for the Director of Public Health.
What we are looking for:
In line with legislation, inclusion in the GMC Full and Specialist Register with a license to practice/GDC Specialist List or inclusion in the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) for Public Health Specialists at the point of application.
Have 2 or more years’ experience working in a UK public health setting as a Consultant in Public Health or Deputy Director of Public Health. Most of this experience will have been involving health improvement focussed projects.
