We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a secondary school in Leeds on a full-time cover basis, starting ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who can motivate and engage students in Years 7-11, instilling confidence in their reading, writing, and analytically skills.

• QTS or PGCE in English or a related field.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for literature, language, and student success.

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that meet curriculum standards, encouraging student participation and critical thinking.
• Assess, mark, and monitor student's work to track progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support student's learning and development by adapting lessons to suit diverse needs and learning styles.
• Contribute to the school's literacy initiatives, helping to foster a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and support whole-school objectives.
