This post holder will be based within Medical Workforce and have an essential role in supporting the directorate in the provision of a highly effective and efficient advisory service.

Aims of CAMHS SPA

SPA provides a single point of access for referrals into CAMHS for children and young people who have a Nottinghamshire based GP. The service provides a safe, accountable, and governed process for receiving professional and self-referrals, as well as screening and triaging new referrals to obtain additional contextual informtaion around mental health presentations. In addition, you will need to identify any risk factors and provide minimising risk advice, psychoeducational support and prompt decision making to identify the most appropriate service to meet the presenting needs at the given time. Thereby, enabling, facilitating and recommending the right offer, the right service, at the right time to meet the emotional and mental health presenting needs. This requires close working relationships and understanding of universal services within Nottinghamshire, as well as the specialist CAMHS provision, to enable informed decision making.

Daily structures are in place to meet the demands of SPA through task allocation meetings, multi-disciplinary meetings, referral meetings, as well as designated allocated time within the working day to carry out triage calls and others functionalities of the SPA service.

There is an expectation that the successful applicant will access clinical, managerial, and safeguarding supervision and attend complex case discussions, peer support sessions and share knowledge and training with colleagues within the team.

CAMHS SPA Family Support Worker

The CAMHS SPA Family Support Worker will work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary SPA Team, offering screening, triage, psychoeducation, harm reduction advice under supervision and containment to children, young people, their family/carers, and other professionals presenting with emotional and mental health difficulties.

You will be experienced in identifying emotional and mental health presentations and have an extensive knowledge around CAMHS provisions, as well as external services, to ensure that the CYP accesses the right pathway, at the right time.

You will work with a variety of agencies including social care, other health agencies, education/schools, acute hospitals, and adult mental health services to ensure a quality service is provided.

You must hold a relevant qualification or have significant CAMHS experience. You will be required to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for business use for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

The role is highly rewarding, but fast paced with many referrals received into the team daily. The job can be demanding so you will be required to be motivated, resilient, and work flexibly to meet service need. Service opening hours are between 8am – 6pm on a rota pattern and on occasion you will be expected to work outside of these hours should need dictate.

This post provides an exciting opportunity for a senior clinician to work in our Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) wards, based across 2 sites (Highbury in Bulwell & Blossomwood in Sutton-in-Ashfield).

The post holder will work, across 5 wards taking referrals to support the nutritional needs of our dementia & mental health patients. The working hours are typically 8-4pm across the working week.

This post will be supported as part of the Inpatient Therapy Team, which consists of a Team Leader, Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapist, Physiotherapists & Support Workers. It is also supported by a Professional Lead Dietitian across the care group and an AHP Lead.

The Clinical Lead Dietitian will be responsible for the integration and provision of a comprehensive and quality dietetic service for all MHSOP inpatients. The post holder will use expert knowledge and experience to educate and support patients and their carers regarding their dietary management. The post holder will provide specialist nutritional and dietetic advice, support, clinical assessment and education to patients/carers, nurses and other members of the multi-disciplinary team. The Offender Health Care Group is one of the largest and most successful providers of prison healthcare in the UK. The Care Group provide physical, mental health and substance misuse healthcare services in prisons across the East Midlands, Lincolnshire & Leicestershire.
