The Client Partnership - Travel and Luxury team manage some of Nines top spending key
clients and partnerships.

Day to day you will:

• Be involved in Sales and Campaign management

This is an exciting opportunity to be a member of the Commerce team on a Parental Leave capacity, a specialist team within Nine’s Sales function, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, analysis of and influencing development of Nine's Revenue systems, primarily booking and revenue data reporting systems. 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• In-depth understanding of Nine's advertising trading systems across Television, Radio & Digital platforms
• Providing guidance to the National Sales team as the Sales Systems super-user
• Gain insight and understanding of the Commerce function and yield & inventory management requirements of each platform

As a Sales Executive for Nine in Publishing, you will be responsible for campaigns and deal sales across Australia's #1 Metro Mastheads, the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, as well as Australia's national Business Masthead, The Australian Financial Review. In addition to our Mastheads, Publishing Sales Executives are responsible for sales across the Nine.com.au portfolio, which includes 9News, 9Honey, Wide World Of Sports and more.

• Effectively managing a pipeline of briefs and proactive ideas to meet and exceed revenue targets, whilst accurately forecasting revenue to the business

This newly created role will be responsible for writing, commissioning and co-ordinating travel content across the Financial Review. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the travel industry, especially at the high end. You will have excellent writing skills as well as experience in commissioning and editing copy.  

Most importantly, you will have a vision for growing the Financial Review’s travel franchise, evolving your content strategy according to insights from what our subscribers are reading, and using your industry contacts to pre-empt trends. While this is an editorial role, you will work closely with our commercial team to identify opportunities for our business.

As our senior travel writer you will report to the editor of AFR Magazine whilst working alongside the Editor of Life & Leisure and the Deputy Editor (News). Travel is a key growth area for the Financial Review. You will have the skills, experience and drive to take our travel coverage to the next level. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Oversee travel and tourism content across the Financial Review including afr.com, the daily newspaper, Life & Leisure, AFR Magazine and Fin Magazine.
• Develop a strategy to build the Financial Review’s travel franchise, including travel specials in Life & Leisure and our aviation title, High Flyer. This strategy will aim to increase engagement among subscribers and boost advertising revenue. 
• Represent the Financial Review at travel industry events. 
• Regularly write on travel news as well as travel features.
• Coordinate travel and press trips for staff writers and external contributors, in collaboration with relevant editors.

The role of Senior Visual Designer reports into the Creative Director. The primary focus will be to elevate the visual treatment of marquee storytelling, including investigations and exclusives.

The Commercial Products team manages a fleet of custom-built systems that perform critical functions for our Sales Operations, Traffic, Finance and Presentation teams, which make it possible for us to sell and traffic ads into our linear broadcasts schedules. In other words, our systems manage all revenue associated with broadcast.

You’ll be joining a new team as a part of a key piece of CRM integration work within our sales systems - day to day you’ll be working with AWS, developing API’s, and ensuring an overall robust integration.
 

• Design, develop, and maintain integration flows using various platforms, APIs, databases, protocols, and data formats.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join our Television Finance team at Nine. Reporting to the Finance Manager – Local Productions, you will be pivotal in ensuring the financial health of your designated programs and will play a key role in enhancing our finance and business partnership across the programming space.  Local Productions include Nine’s internally produced programs (including The Block, Travel Guides) and external programs (including MAFS, Lego Masters).

You will:

• Undertake monthly reviews of departmental and program expenses, and analyse variances against the budget and forecast for both P&L departments and WIP projects

• Develop precise annual departmental and program budgets, covering all essential costs including salaries, production costs and internal resources

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including program and property WIP accounts

• Prepare and present monthly departmental management accounts and program cost reporting to department heads and key users of financial information

• Undertake monthly expenditure forecasts, for both P&L departments and WIP projects

• Provide explanation of variances to budget, including headcount analysis

• Undertake weekly and monthly cash flow reporting and coordination with Accounts Payable
