Primary contact for the charity fundraising team, answering queries and responding appropriately on behalf of the charity. Job purpose To work and support collaboratively with the Practice Educator to develop, maintain and support learning, development and growth within the Neighbourhood Nursing Teams using evidence-based practice. To work in close collaboration with all members of the Neighbourhood Nursing Teams, to provide comprehensive, evidence-based practice. To assist Neighbourhood nursing Teams in working across all localities Assess the quality of a range of practice learning environments, determine interventions to sustain and enhance practice education; ensuring all localities have an up to action plan in place. Support and facilitate the development of clinical supervisors, assessors and preceptors, providing supervision and support structures in order to build education in practice capability, consistency and efficiency. The imaging department is a very dynamic department within a very busy eye unit environment, so a level of calmness in times pressure would be beneficial. The eye unit provides a service Monday to Saturday with some evening clinic, so flexibility is an essential requirement. The eye unit runs satellite services around the region where cross-cover and support may be required. The successful candidate will be providing professional leadership, ensuring visibility and strong role modelling. They will need to be flexible to the ever-changing needs of the service. You will be joining an established and diverse team, in a forward thinking, proactive and developing service within the regional major trauma centre. There are excellent opportunities for professional development and continuing education. Previous experience in Theatre, Critical Care or Emergency Department environment is essential. Your Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of Technical / Clinical activities including: Haemofiltration, Plasmapheresis, Ventilation, Oscillation, Nitric delivery and Bronchoscopy. The team are an integral part of the Paediatric, General, Neuro and Cardiac intensive care units and are specialist in transferring critically ill patients who require inter / intra hospital transport. The Technologists are part of the multidisciplinary Trauma team who are ready to deliver lifesaving care to any patient requiring the services of the regions major trauma unit. We are also a member of the hospitals Paediatric cardiac arrest team. Southamptons PICU is linked to the Southampton Oxford Retrieval Service (SORT) who retrieves critically ill children from 27 District General Hospitals in the South of England. The Technologist team are an integral part of SORT and our duties include: blue light ambulance driving and helicopter or fixed wing flight retrievals to Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Wight. The service we provide is 24 hours a day 7 days a week and the applicant must be prepared to work 12.5 hour shifts. You will work as part of a combined therapy services team delivering patient care across a 7-day service, including weekends and bank holidays, on a roster basis. This post is part of the wider Therapy services department. You will have many opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge through our in-service training. You will be part of a large department of over 300wte Therapy staff including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy support staff.

You will also need to show that you have the skills to be an effective leader, coupled with a good knowledge of day to day operational service need. The Trusts Managed Equipment Service contract ensures a planned and guaranteed equipment replacement programme with managed maintenance and repair, which will ensure we will always work with the latest up to date technology.
