• Ensuring that associate's payroll is run efficiently, ensuring the minimum number of errors

We are currently seeking an interim Senior Brand Manager, to work with our global FMCG client U/L, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 12 months, requiring 36.25 hours per week to start ideally ASAP, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £70,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.

The Beauty & Wellbeing (B&W) division at U/L houses iconic and loved Hair & Skin Care brands. This role will focus on TRESemme, Simple, Vaseline & Shea Moisture. PR and Influencer Marketing is a critical pillar in brand marketing plans to drive brand equities, engagement, and overall business objectives.

U/L Beauty & Wellbeing UK is looking for a Senior Brand Manager Marketing expert to drive the use of the voice of others to amplify brand messages to authentically build credibility and trust with its audience to drive business and communications goals.

This role is hyper focused on execution of:

1. TRESemme, Simple, Vaseline and Shea Moisture external communications, PR & Influencer Marketing in the UK.
2. Executing the integrated communications plans for both brands including events
3. Building relationships with stakeholders in the market
4. Leveraging knowledge / experience of beauty/hair and the cultural landscape is a must.
5. Partnering with the local brand marketing and media teams, and global PR & Influencer teams to deploy specific plans and assets in market
6. Managing annual PR and Influencer Marketing budgets
7. Managing PR and Influencer marketing agencies
8. Leading the PR & Influencer measurement and in-market optimization
9. Setting KPIs for PR and influencer marketing programs in the market
10. Maintaining strong media contacts and being the external-facing PR and Influencer marketing expert.
11. Manage local issues & risk

Role Overview, Responsibilities and Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

• An expert in PR, communications and influencer marketing (6-8 years of experience either at an agency and/or in-house), with perfect understanding of what does and does not work in PR and Influencer Marketing channels.
• A passionate beauty publicist and influencer marketer who is able to create and pitch compelling stories to deliver maximum earned coverage across earned and paid channels. Must be knowledgeable / expert in multicultural beauty and hair and the cultural landscape.
• A relationship builder with media that has a network of existing media contacts with consumer and trade beauty print and online media, and broadcast outlets
• A self-starter who is obsessed with tangible business results, OKRs and pioneering new models - pushing the boundaries of what it takes to land impactful PR and influencer content (that drives engagement and ultimately sales)
• Ability to see all the priorities across the total brand to deliver the most optimal annual execution across PR and influencer marketing with breakthrough results
• A collaborator who thrives on working together with different teams and marketing specialties to execute programs with excellence and clarity
• Proven track record with executing resonant PR and influencer marketing programs in the UK
• A strategic executor that leverages the thinking skills to develop strong programmes for beauty brand campaigns and has an eye on cultural relevancy and purpose

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Project Manage cross functionally the full brand restage, including gate & stakeholder management.
• Develop business cases with the support of CD & finance to get approval at gates.
• Develop & sign off designs with the global team
• Collaborate with the CD & category community to land its execution, from compelling sell-ins to landing it in market with excellence (increase in distribution & share of shelf, right proposed RRP and promotional mechanics ect..)

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Excellent project management skills.

• Significant brand/product marketing experience, in an FMCG environment

• Experience in managing big projects and confidence in leading multiple cross functional teams with strong communication & leadership skills.

• A very strong understanding of all key functions (R&D, Supply chain, sales, finance).
• Experience in developing business cases as well as Trade sell-ins.
