The post holder will provide expertise, leadership and support to health visitors who are working with a child with a disability and who may have special educational needs, and their families for 3 days (0.6 WTE). They will be a member of a Health Visiting (HV) team undertaking a corporate caseload responsibility for any remaining contracted hours up to 2 days (0.4WTE). This may be modified to meet service need.

Lead, facilitate and embed a positive, pro-active approach to supporting children with disabilities.

Maintain an up-to-date, citywide overview of all children with disabilities

Co-ordinate and facilitate effective communication between all professionals and partner agencies involved in the care planning of the child and family.

Be an advocate for children with disabilities and their families at strategic, inter-agency working groups

Co-ordinate, update and disseminate information on resources, services, support networks and contacts for children with disabilities to enable health visitors to facilitate timely access to support.

Co-ordinate and provide learning opportunities, expertise and guidance for health visiting teams in order to optimise and safeguard health outcomes for children with disabilities.

Implement, evaluate and audit agreed processes for information sharing and partnership working between health visitors and other agencies involved in managing the child with disabilities.

Co-ordinate and facilitate the seamless handover of care in partnership with key stakeholders when the child starts school.

We are looking for an exceptional cardiology nurse to join our Northwest Adult Congenital Heart Disease Specialist Nursing Team on a secondment for 12 months. This is a great opportunity to be involved in our supra-regional service for adults with congenital heart disease covering the North West of England, North Wales and Isle of Man. This role will be based atManchester Royal Infirmary, which is the level 2 ACHD specialist centre for the Northwest, working within the existing ACHD specialist nursing team. The post will be based at Manchester Royal Infirmary (the level 2 ACHD specialist centre for the North West) and will include providing outpatient clinics and expert ACHD advice to the hospitals within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) (including Wythenshawe hospital, St Mary’s hospital and Royal Manchester Children’s hospital). In addition, the post holder will have honorary contract with the level 1 ACHD surgical centre based at Liverpool Heart and Chest hospital and will be required to work across the hospitals in the North West Congenital Heart Disease Partnership (NWCHDP) (including Royal Liverpool hospital, Liverpool Women’s hospital and Alder Hey).

The post holder will provide specialist expertise and advice demonstrating a soundunderstanding of the issues related to the identification, assessment, treatment andmanagement of the client group. They will monitor and improve standards of carethrough supervision of practice, clinical audit, evidence based practice, teaching and supporting professional colleagues and the provision of skilled professionalleadership. The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Vacancies have arisen for Band 5 Staff Nurses within the Cardiac Catheter Suite at MFT (Wythenshawe and MRI). The 9 Catheter Labs at MRI and Wythenshawe Hospitals form part of the North West Regional Cardiology service. It is one of the busiest in the country, performing in excess of 5500 procedures a year from Pacemakers to Implantable Defibrilators, Cardiac Ablations and Angioplasty. The Two hospital sites are working in unison to develop a single cardiac service across the Trust.

A strong commitment to our team is essential for this post and a broad range of nursing experience in Cardiology or another acute area is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. . A full comprehensive training package will be provided and a mentor will assist in the individual needs of the successful candidates.

In the Catheter lab we are aware of the need for flexible working. Working patterns are presently Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts. On completion of your competency programme, the post holder will be required to undertake some on-calls as part of our 24 hour emergency team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6 children and young people’s nurse with an interest in paediatric obesity and endocrinology, to apply for the post of maternity leave cover(12 months fixed term/ secondment) for Paediatric Endocrine Specialist Practitioner and join a recently commissioned team of MDT professionals as part of a regional service for the complications of excess weight (CEW).

Wythenshawe Hospital part of Manchester Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint committed and compassionate radiographers to join our CT Team.

The workload is varied and we do many complex scanning procedures, the department has three CT scanners covering all aspects of CT scanning. We intend to increase our interventional service and provide an increased capacity for scanning and supporting lung cancer patients with the introduction of a dedicated Lung Cancer scanning unit.

The CT department consists of a friendly team who all work on a shift pattern rota, covering seven day / 24 hour working.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate an interest in CT scanning and have some experience of working in the NHS CT environment.

The CT department at Wythenshawe is very busy and we scan a lot of patients from all areas of the hospital. You will need to work with a large team of Radiographers including Radiologists, Radiology Assistants and Interventional Nurses.

To be responsible for the operational delivery of a high quality, safe and
efficient CT imaging.
To provide supervision and training for junior Radiographers, Assistant

Manchester Royal Infirmary is looking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic consultants to join our General Medical teams.

Flexible opportunities exist to appoint 10PA General Medical consultants or those with job planned time for specialist interests. There is potential to adjust job plans to the needs of suitable applicants, for this reason applicants are encouraged to make contact as early as possible.

This is an exciting time to join Manchester Royal Infirmary:
• We have developed our acute medicine service significantly over the past four years, going from 6 to 20 consultants
• The redevelopment of our Emergency Department is planned to be completed in 2025/26.
• We are privileged to host several highly specialist and tertiary services such as Renal Medicine and Transplantation, Clinical Haematology including Haemoglobinopathy, Cardiology including Hypertension, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, HIV and Sexual health, Rheumatology, Diabetes, Endocrinology and Lipidology, Major Trauma, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Colo-rectal, Urology, ENT, Maxillofacial and Vascular Surgery. The multitude of specialties on site makes practising in MRI particularly exciting as high, cutting-edge medicine and surgery are practised, and there is always help to hand.

MRI is continually striving to innovate, develop and improve the offering to our patients. In this aim we are constantly developing our medical models to expand consultant support and ensure consultant led care is available 7 days a week. Offered as 10PA posts, this includes weekend daytime ward sessions 1:8 or participation in the Acute weekend and evening rota which is also 1:8 frequency.

The posts are based at Manchester Royal infirmary and provide senior medical support to our 48 bed Acute Medical unit, our Ambulatory Care Unit or sub-specialities aligned to our General Medical inpatient wards.

Within the 10PAs there is opportunity for dedicated PAs to support specialist interests, including but not limited to:
• Cardiology
• Diabetes
• Elderly Medicine – Frailty sessions
• Endocrinology
• Gastroenterology
• Renal Medicine
• Respiratory Medicine
• Rheumatology

We are looking for clinicians who may wish to take up roles in the following areas as part of their job plans to facilitate their further development:
• Medical leadership
• Medical education
• Governance
• Research
