Scheme Manager based at East & West Nottinghamshire Communities, Southwell

Available Hours:

Fixed Term - Full Time - 37.5 hours per week.

This is a fixed term postion for 6 months

The MHA Communities Manager is responsible for developing and managing the Communities Scheme to meet the needs of older people within the local community. The Scheme could operate across multiple sites within the geographical catchment and all Schemes will vary significantly in size, scale and scope.

The post requires an individual with a range of business and operational skills, but critically, who possess a strong drive to deliver high quality services that reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness and promote the wellbeing of older people across a range of community settings.

The MHA Communities Manager will be responsible for line managing any additional staff appointments to the Scheme - this will depend upon the size of the Scheme and the breadth and volume of services delivered. Volunteers are crucial to the successful operating of any MHA Communities Scheme and the Manager will be responsible for the recruitment and selection and on-going support and supervision of all Volunteers.

At Abbey Park care home we provide residential, residential dementia, general nursing and nursing dementia care. Here at Abbey Park, it's all about choice - from a selection of rooms to the range of activities and services available every day. As well as private rooms, we also have 24 self-contained care suites, each with a bedroom, lounge and kitchenette. These double-sized suites are suitable for individuals who enjoy extra space.

About you

You will be an experienced Home Manager with inspirational leadership skills, a passion for adult social care and track record of developing and motivating teams to deliver outstanding care through continuous improvement. We are looking for a confident communicator with strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking ability coupled with a compassionate and resilient nature. You will need a 1st level Registered Nurse qualification and current PIN, with a recognised professional management qualification and a willingness to develop. You will hold or be willing to study for NVQ Level 4 in Care or LMC Level 4 Award.
