Department and Job Purpose
The UK Public Relations (PR) department sits within the North Europe Marketing function, reporting to the Head of PR, Social Media, and Collaborations for North Europe. The department is responsible for building and amplifying brand heat. Our purpose is to build, fuel and protect the brands reputation and public image. We aim to keep the brand at the center of culture, always.
We do this by amplifying global stories, activations and launches with media, KOLs as well as notable voices within the fashion, music and lifestyle industries. In addition to this, we amplify locally relevant initiatives and stories to fuel the brand heat, including local collaborations, brand & product activations as well as talent partnerships.
The UK PR Communications Manager will develop and lead all public relations activities in the UK, with a focus on London. In this role you will manage the execution of PR partnerships and product placement strategies with an aim of driving brand heat through qualitative and quantitative press & media coverage. You will create brand desire by activating strategic & creative PR activities focussed on our target audience. Your focus will be on building brand equity and cultural relevance by positioning Levi’s® as a lifestyle brand grounded in denim leadership.
Job Description
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive PR activities aligning with the brand strategy, consumer insights and market trends
- Develop strategic and creative concepts for all local PR events including press days, collection/product releases, cultural & values events, media partnerships etc.
- Develop pitching strategy for brand stories and press releases to secure media coverage in fashion magazines, newspapers, dailies etc.
- Proactively identify opportunities for brand exposure, partnerships, and collaborations
- Monitor industry trends and competitors to stay ahead in the fashion &lifestyle landscape, with a close eye on emerging trends, consumer dynamics and behaviours
- Monitor editorial ROI vs. advertising spend in collaboration with media team as well as identifying brand partnership opportunities
- Collaborate with global PR team and North Europe corporate communications team on spokesperson opportunities and media interviews
- Manage the internal PR team and collaborate with key internal business partners across North Europe
Candidate Requirements
You will have:
- An extensive network within the UK media landscape, including direct connections and relationships with senior media across fashion, consumer/lifestyle, news editors as well as stylists, photographers, influencers, and models etc.
- Considerable experience with a proven track record of running PR in-house within apparel/lifestyle brands in the UK, with a focus on London
- A degree in Business, Fashion, Communications, Marketing, Humanities, or Journalism, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong interest in fashion, music, sustainability, and consumer trends
- Experience in events management
- A proactive, hands-on attitude, with strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Keen attention to detail and results orientation
- Creative and agile thinking, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
- Crisis management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including delivering compelling presentations and press assets
