• Functions as the Supervisory Nurse with responsibility for nursing services and nursing care on the Pediatrics Inpatient Department. Includes compliance with standards of care, patient safety, and compliance with other applicable standards. This plan includes a complete staffing plan, which is evaluated and revisions made as necessary. Plans the work for the unit; work schedules; ensures adequate nursing coverage for safe and effective patient care.
• Evaluates daily operations and services provided to assure efficient use of resources, including patient flow/process, work flow/process, productivity, and take appropriate corrective and evaluation action as needed. Prepares workload and production reports. Provides supervision to subordinate employees, including counseling, disciplinary action, corrective action, evaluation, and overall management of each unit employee.
