Role Purpose:
As a Third-Party Property Damage Claims Handler, you'll play a crucial role in our claims team, responsible for investigating and resolving third-party property damage claims. You'll utilize your expertise in liability assessments and negotiations to ensure fair and accurate settlements while maintaining excellent customer service.

• Investigate and assess third-party property damage claims, gathering relevant information and evidence.
• Liaise with external parties, such as claimants, solicitors, and other insurance companies, to negotiate and settle claims.
• Analyse policy documentation to determine coverage and applicability.
• Evaluate liability and quantum to determine accurate settlement amounts.
• Manage a caseload of claims while ensuring adherence to company guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather insights and share knowledge for continuous improvement.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of claims activities using the company's systems.

As a Credit Hire handler , you'll be responsible for managing credit hire and repair claims with a value of up to £10k. Your role will involve managing a portfolio of newly reported fault claims and ensuring they are managed in line with our business expectations. You will be responsible for managing and controlling hire spends through robust negotiation, investigation, and provision of services.

As part of this exciting role, you'll be responsible for protecting the company against credit hire claims by using third party interviews, credit hire evidence gathering, and challenging inbound hire and repair invoices.

You'll also be responsible for servicing inbound phone calls from Customers/Garages/ Third Party representatives and other suppliers.



Job Details

• Managing a workload of hire/repair claims from notification through to settlement, including the provision of services and challenging the need for a vehicle where required
  
• Making correct and timely liability and indemnity decisions
  
• Minimising the financial exposure to incoming credit hire and repair claims through investigation and negotiation skills
  
• Protecting the company against credit hire claims by gathering evidence, utilising case law and other resources to achieve the best possible outcome in line with business strategy
  
• Servicing inbound calls from third parties, customers, garages, representative and other suppliers
  
• Meeting monthly targets and responsible for ensuring hire spend across the claims department is reduced

• Developing and owning medium to long term budget plans, working with key stakeholders to gather value adding insights as an ongoing exercise
  
• Owning and developing volume forecasts covering medium-short term time periods, preparing agent facing volumes to supply stakeholders in the scheduling process

• Supporting Home Claims in building the right capability in providing good customer and commercial outcomes - reviewing and monitoring outcomes/KPI's and supporting improvements through technical development

Motor Claims Handler

Location - Leicester - Hybrid working

Your role:

You will be part of a busy and fast-paced department that is responsible for providing support to our customers who have been involved in a road traffic accident, regardless of fault. Your role will involve communicating with our customers through both verbal and written means, and discussing their options whether that be that their vehicle is repairable or has been deemed a write-off.

Our main objective is to get our customer back on the road as quickly as possible.

As a motor claims handler, you will prioritise giving our customer a smooth journey throughout the process. Whether that be by proactively chasing updates from our repair suppliers or negotiating the valuation of their vehicle that has been deemed a write-off.

It is crucial to speak confidently and provide accurate information right from the beginning to avoid any confusion and ensure a seamless customer journey.

Job Details

• Conducting thorough evaluations of vehicles based on condition, mileage, market trends and historical data
  
• Utilising valuation tools, software and databases to determine accurate market values and preparing detailed valuation reports for internal and external use
  
• Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring transparency and understanding of the valuation process
  
• Handling disputes or appeals related to vehicle valuations professionally and efficiently
  
• Participating in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance valuation accuracy and efficiency
  
• Ensuring all valuations comply with industry standards, regulations and company policies
  
• Helping to grow our valuation capability through identifying opportunities to continuously improve skills, knowledge and processes

• Extensive experience in vehicle valuations, automotive appraisals or other related field - including knowledge of the automotive industry, vehicle models and market trends

Role purpose:

You'll be one of our first lines of defence at Hastings for protecting the business against potential policy fraud by validating our customer policies and ensuring these hold the correct information that best suits their needs. You'll be responsible for balancing a varied portfolio of customer policies and will validate these through a variety of different checks (directly with customers or by authenticating documents) and ensuring that any risk information is reviewed and if relevant, completed in a timely manner.


You'll use a data driven approach, effective conversation management plus cutting edge application fraud tools to identify and treat deliberate and unintentional policy misrepresentation, ensuring customers are retained at the right price and that high-risk policies are removed from cover.



Accountabilities:

• Responsible for validating a portfolio of policies within agreed timeframes that have been identified as having application fraud indicators varying in complexity.
• Ensuring that any risk information is validated efficiently and accurately by reviewing information and documents received via various communication channels.
• Ensuring that policies meet customers' needs and have the appropriate level of cover with the correct risk information to support good outcomes.
• Identifying and acting on deliberate and unintentional policy misrepresentation.
• Responsible for servicing inbound and outbound calls from customers, internal colleagues and external parties.
• Ensuring service level agreements are met on your portfolio of work and cases assigned to you.
• Reviewing received documents to ensure they are genuine and valid, taking appropriate action where necessary.
• Supporting customers with any complaints effectively, reaching good outcomes.
• Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Champion a collaborative approach with various colleagues & stakeholders throughout the organisation.
